    They play at a 100,000 seat stadium an hour from campus. Iowa will be a sellout and a divided crowd. Illinois will barely graze 30K. I do agree the oversized Big Ten Conference doesn't help our cause. There are some freshmen who will graduate not thinking twice about Wisconsin as a "rival"...

    Other games - ILL beats Oregon

    Totally out of our control but the timing of our schedule this season absolutely sucks. We basically got no credit for beating a Penn State team that was highly ranked before they got to us, and now we're on the road to Eugene where a win will advance the "Oregon sucks this season" narrative...

    "the fans are on the concourse" is an equally true and bogus excuse. yes, many fans are on the concourse...if you required all of them to go to their seats we still had significant bald spots, including/especially in the student section. it is what it is.

    If you get to the stadium and don't like the offerings (the nice stuff is up in the north end zone), walk west down Central Street (away from the CTA/in the direction of the Metra, if that means anything to you) and there are some bakeries and other places that sell breakfast fare.

    I agree it is baffling that they don't want to sell tickets for people to make plans more than a couple weeks out. That runs counter to literally any other major event I have ever, ever attended.
