This is why I don’t understand the Mitch love. While he had some good hires, he had some flops, but these contracts were unforgivable. It’s almost like Mitch didn’t realize he could negotiate.

    Horrendous recruiting

Well, Billy G was the coach here at the time so I don’t blame him. he came here as an assistant, and apparently was trying to innovate things under Cal. But, Cal was so stuck in his ways he didn’t let him do anything. So he left….once again don’t really blame him.

    Horrendous recruiting

Thinking is he may go to NBA at some point.

Seneca Driver: Any chance of flipping him to us or is his recruitment over ?

He seems really firm on his commitment. Even after we beat OU, he said he was still going there. I’ll give Stein credit for trying. But, I’d be surprised if he was here.

Jai Lucas. While he’s a bit of a gamble, he’s smart, motivated, and can recruit.

    Demarcus Henry to UNC

We hired his coach from NBA Africa just to get him, lol

    Demarcus Henry to UNC

No thanks on Zoom and a highly touted freshman? How’s that been so far, lol

    Demarcus Henry to UNC

He only listed UK to drive the price up. Pretty typical these days. Whiff Pope!

How many wins if Stoops was still here. . .

I’ll never forget some of the names who acted like Stoops was amazing. Was he a decent coach yes……was he the best UK could do, definitely not. He was also SEVERLY overpaid

    I thought exhibitions didn't matter?

They don’t matter, but gives us an idea of the team. I don’t think this team is terrible but we’re also far from a top 10 team.

Didn’t realize Kenny Menchey was a senior

UK will have enough to keep guys like Minchey and Darby. It’s the secondary players that will be snatched

    Popebros........

his contract was terrible. Somehow we doubled what BYU was paying, gave BYU a $6mil buyout, and put in the sweet 16 auto extension. This was almost as ridiculous as Stoops contract.

    That makes one of us

Aj Williams will visit Kentucky this weekend instead of Arkansas

I’m going to assume none of these kids come here unless we hire their dad, coach, or from KY
