    Football Western Foothills 4A/5A - Week 11

Now, one other major issue with West Iredell is coaching. Enough with the useless squid kicks. I thought I'd seen it all when they squib kicked away a 14 point lead with under two minutes left to East Lincoln two years ago...then last night they took the lead with under a minute left, squibbed...

    Football Western Foothills 4A/5A - Week 11

They'll spill themselves down the road. From what I heard from my updates, I was out east watching Pinecrest hold off Richmond County 36-33 for the Mid South Title, BH's first half TDs resulted from a West fumble on their own 2 and an Int. Turnovers have plagued them the past three weeks, and I...

"Not so fast." In conversation with two sports writers out west this week, and I learned some interesting news for NEXT season that will keep West Iredell right in the mix at the top...one piece will be a bombshell that keeps their running attack fully in place with Patterson back at QB.

If The Playoffs Started Today 3A/4A

Agreed. I've covered high school football for over 40 years as an AP writer/stringer/correspondent and poll voter, and collapses such as these wreck havoc on teams who "turn it around" or suddenly "rise." I still scratch my head at situations like North Moore, whose program has ended games after...

Duh, give the ball to Spense and you'll win...Three straight carries for 55 plus yards and a TD. 34-24 West.

    Football Western Foothills 4A/5A - Week 10

West Iredell better get their QB back or they may only win the bye week. They look absolutely terrible tonight...at least on my stream. Penalties, turnovers, no defense, questionable play calling. Sense has barely touched the ball. Oh 27-24 West in late 3rd. Bandys driving.

    West Iredell...

Interesting factoid: the head coaches at West Iredell and Tuscola played together on the same high school football team...at Tuscola. I believe Comptan was QB and Fitzgerald TE??
