    Don't get me wrong - the offense choked away a 17 point lead and a QB that threw three INTs. Regardless of what I'm about to post, PSU should've won that game. Terrible offensive game plan (stage might be too big for Mouser, by the way) and our HC turtled into a way-too conservative decision...

    I just can't see a way they can go 4-0 over the next four weeks with out Howard - let alone 3-1. 2-2 would seem like a win, that might doom us from playoff contention.

    Campbell just confirmed Howard is out "an extended period of time." Probably the guy we could not lose to injury. Bummer. Season-altering IMO.

    If the the spread was 10.5 and Howard is out, I'd say he's easily worth half a TD on that spread. Through 3 games, he's been our best player and one of the nation's most explosive WRs.

    Franklin ultimately pushed Rahne out because he knew he wasnt the guy. I think he found him a job vs firing him because they are very close friends. Maybe Rahne doesn't realize this, but one of Franklin's biggest issues was that he couldn't figure out his offense over the course of 12 years...

    The only negative I could even remotely think about was the run game - but it was very obvious that BG was absolutely selling out to stop the run. I can't put my finger on it, but Martin just looks different with the ball in his hands vs the other two RBs. More natural? shiftier? Better...

    I think if we could find a way for it to be mutually beneficial, WVU and Pitt should probably be on the schedule every year. Whether that means 2 for 1 or what, I don't know. It's good for the state, and it's good for regional football from the peewee levels up. Those are the types of rivalries...
