    Spy the washington qb?

The huskies have a qb who runs and another who is more of a pocket passer. The talk is that they will start the runner on saturday (if you can trust what their coach says!). Not sure if this will be a problem given some speed lacking at our middle lb, but maybe the solution will be to use rojas...

    Issues remain, even in victory

I also think becht might be a better runner than he has shown, but he is being super carefull to go down early and not to take hits because there is no backup option for him that they trust.

    Issues remain, even in victory

It looks like eskeldson (#4) is fast, but like you say he does not have a knack for high pointing and getting after the ball. Plus becht tends to under throw him. I think they send him long on a lot of plays just to stretch the field with his speed, but he won't catch many doing that. I wonder...

    Manske's availability

Planning on going to a couple of games but have not gone yet. Can anyone who has seën pregame warm ups confirm that manske is dressed and throwing the ball in warmips? I wonder what the plan is if becht gets hurt. Its hard to believe he couldn't even go in at the end of the purdue game and hand...

Rating the 4* Iowa State transfers

Patton playing better as the year goes by. Also Buhr is left off your list, he has been a starter at guard all season, although admittedly has not played all that well.

Mouser: "We aren't going to be able to keep Manske off the field this year"

I am sure koby howard has a lot of talent and could be a star, but its disturbing that a guy who has had two good games against minor league teams is the number one priority for penn state to keep....

    A different take on Roco

The stat on no 10+ yard runs is amazing. Hansen plays because he can block, which they desperately need, and he can gain 2 or 3 yards when there is no hole. But he has no explosive ability. The other backs haven't shown much of anything. Its odd that the oline is decent in pass protection, but...

    A different take on Roco

What i see is an average qb. Not terrible, but not good enough to lift a team with no running game to a win against a decent defense. With no run game, he had to throw 45 times yesterday, and made a few mistakes. Would have been nice if the defense could have stepped up after the turnovers...

Ex PSU player Justin Williams with Ziegler

Its been a long time since i followed this story but at one point i was really up on it. I seem to remember an email from curley saying "after talking it over with Joe" he was uncomfortable going to the police. Freeh took that to mean that Joe talked Curley out of it. But there are many other...

    2027 Recruiting Thread

I always wondered if Franklin put too much emphasis on "measurables" (ie "length", 40 yard dash times, ect), and not enough on whether a recruit was actually a good football player. Best example, i remember a lineman back in the early franklin years (Sterling Jenkins?) who was a huge, fast 5...

    2027 Recruiting Thread

Interesting that the best players recently have mostly been the guys with 87-89 ranks. Warren was a 3 star. Vega a 3 star. Abdul Carter was a borderline 3/4 star. No doubt for most programs stars correlate to success in the long term, but its interesting to think that may not have been as true...
