    ICE Week 5

ICE Power Rankings 1) Wilmington - Status Quo 2) Coal City - Glorified practice last week 3) Manteno - I had serious thought of switching them with Peotone after this week, but I don't think there is enough right now to do so, hell maybe there wasn't enough to ever bump Manteno to 3. Manteno...

    ICE Week 4

Honestly I agree. I think the problem was although CC is a great team and are usually second fiddle to Wilmo, the years they were split into large and small divisions there was always some really really good team out of nowhere (like the sandwich or Herscher) that took the large division from CC.

    ICE Week 4

I8/ICE was also split large/small divisions for a long time. Here is every team that has won the title since 1996. The conference was split large/small from 06 through the 2018 season. Braidwood: 4 total. 2 during the split years. Most recent 2022. ..........Original team since 96 CC: 4...

Why do so many people choose broadcasts over going to games?

Bring me a six pack of a craft beer I haven't tried before (or one of my favorites) and you're more than welcome

    ICE Week 4

Honestly, as the season progresses,I can only see....... 3 and 4 switching.....5 and 6....and MAYBE 7 and 8.....I just don't think there is going to be much big time movement in the hierarchy of the conference

Why do so many people choose broadcasts over going to games?

In no particular order of importance: -Beer -Bathroom 5 seconds away (and a clean one at that) - I can utilize the time watching the game to catch up on other tasks around the house, especially when 90% of the games Wilmo plays it isn't worth going to because the game is over in the first 8...

    ICE Week 4

ICE Power Rankings 1) Wilmington - Pounded the Tone 2) Coal City - It's all practice until week 9 3) Manteno - Trending upward, aside from the two bumps in the road with Wilmo and CC back to back I think this team has a decent shot at finishing 7-2 4) Peotone - I thought they woulda put up a...

    ICE Week 3

HaHa, thanks. What really kills me the most is teams no longer have to fight for every win to get to 5-4 to make the playoffs. I guess maybe the silver lining is we will have more games with playoff implications. Surprised a few people are picking Streator to "upset" Braidwood. If 3-6 is...

Thanks, never looked at that list. The school summary page says different.

    ICE Week 3

Are they? I have heard this mentioned a few times, however the season summaries on IHSA has them at 501 wins as of the end of last season. Meaning 500 would have been the semi-final game last year.

    ICE Week 3

ICE Power Rankings That middle pack of the ICE is really getting hard to gauge, heck even the very bottom is a challenge. 3-6 is completely up for grabs and I would say the same for 7 and 8. 1) Wilmington - Still on top until beaten 2) Coal City - Small bump in the road against Morris, but I...

    ICE Week 2

Also, what is the actual number to qualify for the playoffs? I believe I had read that it will be possible for some 2-7 teams get in, is that true? Will all 3-6 teams get in with a few 2-7 coming in, or do we think that the lowest 3-6 teams will be still be left out?

    ICE Week 2

Wilmo and cc results as expected Manteno - would have liked to see them win a little more handily Peotone looking like they are back to old form Rc - Thought it would have been closer Streator gets a big upset win, Can they get an ICE win or two this year Lisle - very impressed by their...
