in exclusionary zoning/land use cases (which this clearly is), you have to show a rational connection between the regulation and a legitimate public interest.
you can't just exclude legal land uses (like tattoo parlors) because you don't like them. it ultimately comes down to a property rights issue.
If Iowa were to follow suit, Casey's would need to close 75% of their stores for a lack of employees...

I've gotta say that I totally agree with this ^^^^. Tattoos are beyond low rent, particularly sleeves and facial tattos. But there is a First Amendment in this country, so let all of the inbreds and morons declare themselves publicly. If you have a tattoo, sorry for my being so blunt about your disability.
Personally I don’t mind much what people do. Tattoos don’t really bother me. But when you tattoo your face? That just screams “this person is not allowed within 200 feet of a school”.

I see mom's at Trader Joe's with full sleeves. A very high percentage of blue collar guys seem to have tattoos. Just about every guy i know that went into the military has them.

You can't go 1,000 feet (0.19 miles) without running into a church or school in SC?
From a tattoo parlor? Probably not many. They tend to put those parlors within populated areas, you know. Churches, too. Kinda the way that works.
