Dr. Annie Andrews is no liberal. Lumping all Democrats and all Republicans in one basket is a mistake a lot of people make these days. Read up on Andrews before you decide what she is or is not. She is absolutely no "Democratic socialist." Or a commie. She is a moderate South Carolina mother. And while she has no experience in government, she has as much as Graham. And quite frankly I think she would be a nice change from what we have had.

Trump is literally still humiliating Lindsey even in death. Talk about falling in line

Hilarious that the DEI crowd is ready to fall in line for a lady with no practical experience or qualifications other than being related to the person who previously held the office.

These same people would be up in arms if Clemson made one of Dabos kids coach in waiting because Dabo was their dad.

but by god put the correct letter by their name and they’ll vote for them no matter what for public office

Better than a liberal pediatrician by far
In a state ranked 41st for child health indicators, we dont want no libby pedotrician when we could have a rubber stamp for when Trump invades Puerto Rico and tariffs Antarctica. mAgA !!

So a candidate in SC running on a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-union, pro trans insanity, anti-ICE etc… platform is not liberal?

Good luck with selling that.

There is no such thing as a moderate democrat party constituency influencing policy any longer and its not responsible to pretend otherwise. it’s insanity. A crying shame whats happened.

Norman will serve 6 years, then we will see someone rise that is a great longer term Statesman that serves SC well.

She isn’t a liberal but hates guns, loves DEI, and wanted to force your vaccine, and was a huge supporter of masks.

Say what you want, but she is a way far left lib, especially in the state of SC

Hopefully she loses (again) and fades off to Bolivia.

Oh, and she supports trannies.

A huge NO thank you

All democrats govern as liberals even if they run as moderates. Abigail Spanberger ran in Virginia as a “moderate” and specifically stated that she would not support redistricting. She immediately put redistricting at the top of her agenda once she was elected. Mikie Sherrill ran as a moderate in New Jersey and she just signed a bill that would criminalize prayer at abortion clinics. Regardless of you view on abortion, banning prayer anywhere seems pretty radical.

Any elected Democrat will fall in lock step with whatever chuckie Schumer tells them to do. Any sane centrist democrat should support the republican party. If I still lived in SC I would of voted for Norman.
EXACTLY, when 67% of Democrats are against women in sports, according to the NY post, but that is one of the biggest thing Dems promote. That tells you that the Democratic party runs lock step with what the higher ups want. I don't understand why that is a hill the Democrats are willing to die on.

Can you tell us which Dem politicians promote this? Because the only people I see talking it at all is Trumpers.

Hell, every democrat in office are in support and fight Trump on this right and left. The entire left coast, especially California, is FIGHTING for this.
Link please. We're talking about less than 10 people and there are rules against it at the NCAA, pro and Olympics levels. You are imagining this groundswell of people fighting for it due to your social media algorithms and the culture war surrounding it being pushed exclusively by the Right. If you use this board as an example, there are multiple threads started about it daily, but always by Trumpers. The Left never has anything to say about it at all because it's a miniscule, made-up problem and there are much more pressing concerns we should be talking about.

No Dem politicians are actively pushing to let men play with women and if there were you could support your claim. I'll wait.

Unfortunately most republicans campaign as true conservatives but once they are in office they join the Uniparty and DC establishment. Continue to spend taxpayer dollars on war and other worthless folly’s. Drive our debt up. Mike Johnson and John Thune have shown themselves to be spineless politicians. The GOP in Congress has squandered every opportunity these last 2 years. Because of their incompetence, the Dems will most likely regain the House. The 2 party system is failing

Oh, I agree with you that the GOP is worthless…particularly the Senate. They can’t seem to pass any legislation whatsoever & it’s frustrating to say the least…
But, as long as they have the majority, Dems can’t pass any loony legislation either which is a good thing bc if the Dems ever manage to take the House, Senate & Presidency, they will pack the court, open the borders, legalize full term abortion, etc bc there’s one thing Dems do much better than Repubs & that’s stick together…they will fall in line & push the bills they want to pass unlike Repubs, who just don’t do anything…

the problem is, she's a Democrat so she adds one vote to that side of the ledger. If you're a Republican you don't want a Democrat majority in either chamber. Although, personally, I like a divided government...put some controls into the system

Congressional Voting Breakdown
    • In the House of Representatives: In January 2025, House Republicans passed legislation restricting transgender women and girls from participating in sports based on biological sex. The opposition to this restriction stood at 203 representatives (primarily Democrats). [1, 2]
    • In the Senate: In March 2026, the Senate blocked an amendment pushed by Republicans to bar transgender female athletes. The vote fell 49 to 41, meaning 41 senators voted directly against the restriction. In a previous March 2025 vote on a standalone ban, a similar block occurred with 47 senators opposing the measure.

This was not about Dems promoting men competing agains women.

The 2025 bill

Their central, repeated complaint was that the bill didn't specify how "biological sex" would be verified, and they argued this opened the door to physical inspections or invasive questioning of any girl or woman whose sex was challenged by an opposing team — not just transgender athletes. Durbin specifically said the bill "lacks a clear enforcement mechanism" and could subject women and girls to physical inspection by an adult if accused of being transgender by an opposing team.

The 2026 bill
The March 21, 2026 vote was an amendment to the unrelated SAVE America Act (a voter-ID/registration bill), not a standalone bill. All three needed 60 votes to break a filibuster and fell short along near-party lines.

Democrats dismissed the bill as a distraction and a cynical political move, and some senators like Hickenlooper voted to block it while personally saying they didn't think transgender women should compete in women's sports if other women objected — signaling this was as much about the political vehicle and procedural context (an add-on to a voting bill) as the underlying policy.
