The Trump administration has sparked a full-blown “financial crisis” within the U.S. Navy after pillaging coffers earmarked for service member payrolls, The Guardian reported after speaking with U.S. Navy officials and reviewing new documents.

Two things on this:
- There was a story just the other day about how Scott Jennings has been sending his clips to Trump in an effort to get the abandoned press secretary job.
- I think this is Trump's new plan. He's going to come out and say he won the war, he killed Iran, and blah blah blah. It's going to be very, very damaging, though, when the next day Iran starts firing missiles and drones at people again.
That's just gaslighting, JHP (technically a false premise). No one is unhappy that American forces successfully destroyed Iranian military capes. The question is not whether the strikes were militarily effective...it's whether this was a war America needed to fight in the first dagum place.
What was the precise objective, and what evidence showed war was necessary to achieve it? If the objective was preventing an Iranian nuclear weapon, the 2025 US IC assessment said Iran was not building one and that Khamenei had not reauthorized the weapons program (which was suspended back in 2003). Iran may have had significant nuclear capability, but capability is not the same thing as a decision to build a bomb.
Not to mention Trump campaigned against new and endless foreign wars. So how did "America First" and "no more stupid foreign wars" become a major conflict in the ME?
You can believe the strikes were militarily successful AND still ask whether the war was necessary, what it has cost and what the strategic end state is. Those aten't anti-American questions...they're the questions "Americans" should be asking, no?

Whatever, dude. When Trump says he's completely destroyed Iran's military and won the war, we'll believe him, just like we did last year when he said he completely destroyed Iran's nuclear program and then months later had to launch a war to destroy their nuclear program.

We have destroyed their navy and airforces. We haven't really targetted their ground forces, but that's fine. We certainly HAVEN'T destroyed their balistic missle capacity, you can tell b/c Iran keeps launching them every once in a while.
And HAVE we destroyed their nuclear capability?
I mean, just a year or so ago, I heard we OBLITERATED their ability to make nuclear weapons. But somehow we had to launch a war 6 months later to stop them from getting a nuclear weapon? Maybe just like the Trump math where prices are going to drop over 100%, Obliterated doesn't mean what I think it means.
And the traffic in the straites is at 100%? I heard Trump say we had to get that open. Trump SAYS they are open, but he's said that before, right before Iran hits another container ship. So who knows really, but traffic through the straits certainly isn't back to prewar levels.
As for the nuclear weapons. REALLY? Do we have a deal for Iran to give up all their nuclear material? No! Do we have a deal where inspectors will check out if Iran is trying to make nuclear weapons? No! Do we have a deal for Iran to give up their balistic missle program? No! Do we have something in place to stop them from simply buying a device from Russia or N Korea? No! Do we have some inspectors to make sure they don't rebuild the facilities to make nuclear weapons? No! So how do we know that they don't have the ability to make nuclear weapons again?
I, for one, would be happy to let him call victory if he would gtf out of there and bring all the troops home. They're not negotiating and while they sit there, they're burning through a half billion dollars a day. We can't afford it, our missile defense munitions are low and the Iranians know this. They're not going to let us leave without inflicting some pain, regardless if we leave now or some time in the future. Let him crow as long as he shuts it down now.
