No Mitchell equals more playing time for the lads already in the fold. They don’t mind.

Pope is beyond clueless on most recruiting issues but to Pope's credit I think going after Mitchell was smart move but he had to know that is was a Hail Mary and he definitely needed a backup plan in place.
But the other side of this is that no coach at Kentucky should ever need a miracle to fill out their roster. Especially when athletes are being paid. I am shocked we still have NIL funds available in September. And it is a sizeable amount because Mitchell was going to get bank. I always hear about Pope thinking 3 moves ahead but I am starting to realize that is because his first few moves never work out.
I was never banking on Mitchell playing so this doesn't affect my season outlook but recruiting has to be fixed.
