Would agree with back up QB playing once the game is in hand. Firm believer in getting backups reps. For many reasons.
Starter may get banged up. Don’t need the back ups first live action being a crucial time in a tight SEC game.
Starter could transfer next year and/or sit out bowl game.
Starter could have a bad game and just need to come out.
Might find out a few games into season that starter might not be a starter.
Back up could be a stud worthy of a couple situational plays here there to mix things up and throw D off.
Overall, need to see offense. Passing specifically.
Need to see some urgency to move chains, score, play to win.
Need to see some TE involvement.
Would be mad at some RB dabbling in catching ball.
