Do you all remember those 4 straight runs up the middle vs Texas? I think we might be safe from those calls this year.

It's not that we are great, it's that a Stoops coached team would be in a struggle. And there would be a 100% chance of a collapse in the last couple of minutes of the half.
Want to see more pressure upfront.

I know it is not a huge thing, but 4 straight PAT conversions by the back-up kicker is nice to see.
Mark Stoops would have this team up 14-3 with a last second drive by Youngstown state to make it 14-10. Get real, fanboy.
Texas coach felt so bad for Stoops he gave him a job. Also makes you realize how close Stoops was for the last decade. He just never could get over that hump.
YSU has moved the ball too well their last 3 drives, me no rikey.
Still concerned a bit about our D. Granted first game but this won't work on the SEC. Bama qb is really quick

I don't think so. That QB would be running wild against a Stoops team. He's got some wheels.
Remember our top 2 corners are not playing. I think the lack of pressure on the QB is the most concerning. Giving up 7 in a half isn't the end of the world though.
I don’t care who we are playing, I’m excited about this offense.
We may have to outscore some teams. We haven't been able to do that in the last 13 years.
I mean, no boneheaded coaching eff ups thus far, and we did score just under 2 minutes. But yeah, don't like to see an FCS team, even a good one, drive on us in a sustained manner.

Lack of pressure is concerning. If we don't get pressure on bama QB, that won't be good at all. And we give up a TD last two minutes. Good grief.
It seems like ALL the bigger schools are easily taking care of their "easy" games ... I guess NIL and the portal have allowed them to stockpile PROVEN talent.
We’re pretty vanilla on defense right now, we’ll see Bateman put a lot of more pressure on bama’s freshman QB next week imo.
Anybody know if our two corners are supposed to play next week?
Not a bad half against a team with the best QB in the FCS by a country mile.
I wish we didn't have to, but I agree.
Hate giving up a score late like that. At least Stein has gonads to go for it and we threw the ball to a TE. That’s a win.
