Well, wife wants to go to Sams today. Told her she needs to get up early because I need to be back here by noon because of the first game of the season. She went to bed late so, I won't be going when she gets up.
Forgoing all exercising today with the exception of the monster walk.
See you folks around noon as I will be firing up the artillery in preparation for what I hope is to be a day of a lot of scoring (for our side that is).

My wife and I are traveling tomorrow - a vacation to celebrate our 30th anniversary to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. Dodging hippos and crocs on the Zambezi River. It should be fun.

Good Morning! Already done the grocery shopping and home for some light work. Have to switch back to 3rd shift next week and always a pain to get the sleep schedule lined out. Usually work 2nd.

Go Cats!!! I am going to try getting back into sports this season. Been a hard try the last few years. (And at one time, I was a sports junky.) Too many bad changes to the games/ ownership decisions/ money-making decisions that have been bad for the sport(s)....
I DO love the Cats though... Git-R-Done, Git-R-Done....
Me and the BB are hid in our office. A little overcast. I had hoped to take him swimming but the temps are on the cooler side... We shall see. The pool awaits for two more days about four hundred feet from us so...
About one more hour....

I was always told to show up at work every day, on time, do the job that you are hired to do and I would do well. Well ... I did that and still just barely kept my head above water.
What no would ever told me was that, beyond the above, I should also be regularly be searching parking lots I happen to pass (and I have passed by a lot of them)! Alas, too late now I suppose.

I am with you. All I ever did once I had a family was focus on my family. I never really wanted much and with a family I could love I knew in my heart I had everything I really ever wanted. (Had it rougher than a lot growing up but also had it better than many too.) I made mistakes a bunch and I do pay for those but I kept myself focused. (Still stupidly do stupid dumb things.) My Darling keeps me straight a lot of times though...
In San Antonio (SA) I lived off I-10 and DeZavala in the Hart Ranch subdivision and there was an HEB store there getting off the highway. Many times I came home from work from Fort Sam Houston (Ft. Sam) and stopped at the end of that parking lot. (Back then I was making about 40k a year.) I only walked the back end of that lot. It took me at tops ten minutes each trip but many many times I'd find between five and ten dollars sometimes more, sometimes less but rarely did I walk away with nothing. It seriously amazed me. (We lived there about seven years before we went to Korea in 2012 for three years.) I kept the house until about 2019. (I walked that parking lot about five of those seven years we lived there very regularly.)
We had one service today and just got back home about twenty or so minutes ago.
It is the last day our pool is open and I plan on taking the BB for a trip in a few minutes. That boy LOVES swimming. If the water has not got too cold I will endulge too.

I've been busy and did not see or hear the first play of the FB game. I was on top of Pine Mountain helping construct one of our hiking shelters. However, since I woke up at 3:30 I am watching the replay now. So far it looks like we will be using a lot of short passes.
I'll be heading back down to the lake for more work....doubt I'll get to fish this trip.

Hello All,
Me and the BB hit the pool yesterday for a little over four hours. I stayed with that 7 year old. He is part fish and we had the pool to ourself most of the time with a couple residents just sunning themselves.
I got out sore and stayed that way but it was a good sore. Took a pill. Slept good now back at it with a cup of coffee in front of me.
My major work this coming week: Mow my youngest daughters grass... It is bad off as I have just not been able to take the time.
My Darling has a CPAP appointment this week too. She was diagnosed with sleep apnea I really think it will help her but I was not able to get her to use the device so I scheduled an appointment with a technician. (I have two extra machines and bunches of masks and other stuff.) But My Darling needs a pro. (I've been wearing a CPAP since mid 2008. Never missed a day.)
I bought each of my daughters an RO (Reverse Osmosis) water filtration system. They are sitting in my dining room in their boxes.
Would like to finish off arranging my garage. I have all the shelves up and hangers. Just need to arrange "stuff"....
I think/ I think I have most of my personal retirement "stuff" done now... We shall see... At least I have not been getting as many phone calls...
I like talking but I am seriously trying to get away from work talk... I have tons of other "stuff" to do...
May not do much today though except realign mine and the BB's office. He is off school today and we have some study checking to do as well...
You all enjoy yourselves and I hope you have something fruitful to do....

My knowledge of AI would fit on the tip of a needle with room to spare. I am curious and trust you for a good opinion. Is AI good, bad or both?
Fun day today. My backup camera stopped working so I decided to change it myself. Wasn't bad but now I'm flooded on youtube with tips to do this. Some good and some not. Finished that and decided to work on replacing shutters on the front of the house. That was more of a pain(some of the holes need to be drilled farther into the brick for the longer screws) so I'll finish that tomorrow morning. Nice to have a day to piddle with it.

AI is good if used within it's initially intended context which allows quick pullups of information and quick creations/ development of textual content or other basis' of informational needs/ requirements. The issue with AI is it alters the truth (In most instances ever-so-slightly but it expounds on its versions of the truth to compound the manipulations.) in many many instances to get the result(s) specific language creators desire. AI provides many multiple versions of the truth.
The issue is, truth is truth and you can only manipulate real truth so far. That does not stop AI in most of it's instances. Manipulating the "truth". That is not something I ever planned to hang my reputation on... (I will stop in this area for now as well.)
Had some serious, serious discussions with my eldest in that she is a religious zealot of ChatGPT. (I do not discuss my work much with my family while I was working. They actually do not have any depth or understanding of what I did with the DOA, the DON, or the DOD. That was by my design as I just could not talk about it and they had their own carreers in the medical fields.) Was even so involved with this over her own bible because she was using ChatGPT's version of biblical truth versus the bible's biblical truth. Almost caused her some grave consequences.
My Darling who I know is so very close to God came in between my daughter and chatGPT's version of God. The Holy Spirit intervened thankfully. (This has been within the last couple days.). Thankfully my daughter takes her mothers christian values to heart though she pushes it to the limit many times.
In a nutshell it is the manipulation I have been against strictly due to the "manipulation". You can redo most anything but where AI is going I don't want to go. Too much deception in smaller less detectible quantities. (I'd have to type a whole lot more but this is the basis why I have issues with AI as it is currently being implemented. (I spearheaded a lot of this within the DOD and I will stop there. I have to...)
I have noticed recently that for some reason AI is answering some of my search questions, even as something as simple as a baseball question. I don't always agree with the answer and I am pretty sure it is wrong.

Headed to Oklahoma City OU Medical Center this morning to visit an old friend who had heart bypass surgery with 2 valves replaced and another repaired. He was in good shape about 2 months ago or so we thought. Runs a gymnastic gym in Lawton OK. with his wife and daughter and worked out everyday. Was working out about 2 months ago when he passed out. Went in for test when they found damaged heart valves and arteries. In and out of hospitals for the last 2 months until they made the call for surgery. Just never know I guess until something happens.

"I "seen" my duty and I dun it!" HAHA, I just got back from my youngests house. Her grass is cut, trimmed, tamed, and edged!!! (And the cuttings removed and equipment cleaned.) I would have been back earlier but I let the battery on her mower charge back up. (Took me three charges this time.) The side areas of her home has thick, thick grass. It was so long I had to cut it at the mower's highest setting, then I cut it again. Finally I recharged and cut it a third time. It will be good for a while now and it even looks nice. (Normally you scalp grass cutting it that way but this grass was well nearly wet.)
Trimmed her trees, bushes, then after I blew everything off well I had my trusty B&G sprayer from my bug-man days and mixed up two tanks and sprayed the back and front of her home very well to cut down the bugs... Should work, sprayed her garage well too.
No one knows but I will go tomorrow if it works out or the next day and trim my oldests front and back yard. She does her own mowing as she gets a lot more time off but I do NOT loan her my "stuff". She will destroy it. If SHE buys it she takes care of it but anyone else's stuff never loan it to her... Just the way she has always been and at 43 in about a month, I doubt I can fix her...
The next job(s) I have is to install the reverse osmosis water filters I bought them both for their birthdays. My two girls were born in October, just different years. One granite and the other quartz but I have the diamond bits to do it...

100° on tap for the day. Tomorrow is supposed to shift a bit with a high in the upper 80's with a slight chance of rain and then back up to the upper 90's to 100° following for the weekend.
Visited my friend who had the bypass surgery yesterday and they were going back in after I left to put in a permanent pacemaker. After a discussion with him on family history I found that his father had a fatal heart attack at the same age (64) he is now almost on the same day he had his episode that put him in the hospital. Genetics?
