I remember this game all too well. I watched it at a neighbors house. He and his wife were HUGE UC fans. The other neighbors were all there also and they were Kentucky haters more than UC lovers. I went out at halftime and threw up in his flower garden, I was so nervous and hyped. I guess I trashed talked a little too much at the end of the game because I never got invited to their house for anything after that. Oh well, I wasn’t too upset.

I was at this game in person and this was I'm pretty sure Bob Huggins last game as UC's head coach. I took my little brother with me who's no longer with us and those UC fans wouldn't stop running those chops. They ran that mouth from the start until it was pretty close to over and we got the last word. Really loved this game especially when you live in Northern Ky and hear some of these UC fans non stop sometimes... My brother and I ran our mouths all the way from our seats, to the car, and up the road. I'll never forget this game....

I should have mentioned that Bob Huggins and his family lived about 1 1/2 miles from my house in Loveland. It wasn’t long after that that he got picked up for a DUI leaving his favorite watering hole and driving home. He had been stopped several times before for the same reason he got busted this time. I think the cops had had enough of him driving home drunk every time and they decided to make the charges stick. One of his two daughters was a senior where I taught that year.

We are surrounded by fan bases that hate us. Illinois, Indiana, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Tennessee. All but Tennessee have U of L DNA in them. Tennessee has football over us so they don't.

He used to hang out at Sleepy Hollow over by the river and bike trail. I gave him a ride home one night when he got drunk.

He had an affair with Jeff Wyler's wife(Huggins had a lot of affairs) and was coming from a visit with her when he got the DUI, not meeting recruits, which is what he said publicly. Jeff Wyler was on the board of trustees at UC, and he told UC President Nancy Zimpher, "I don't care what you have to do, but get rid of him."
