I really do blame James Cameron for all of this.

There are no rogue agents, there is no artificial general intelligence, and there is no artificial superintelligence. There is just a bunch of morons like you that want so badly for it to happen so that the bottom doesn't fall out of the stock market.
Most people at the top of the field think AGI is here. Jensen Juang for example last week said that AGI is here.
It’s AI or bust for the market, economy, and country at this point. If AI fails, there is a strong risk the country does too.

There have been a lot of folks with their head in the sand on this board but none have been as clueless as you are.
It’s odd for sure but that doesn’t discount the others who agree with him. Nearly every senior researcher believes that there is a non-zero chance of human extinction over the next decade and it’s universally agreed upon that AI is advancing faster than we anticipated.
Absolutely. This is where having grown ups in the White House would help. We need a treaty similar to nuclear to slow the advancement of AI. But sacks can only ride musk and thiels coattails and is incapable of leading policy for AI.
Sacks is a crook. Because he’s not on the cap table and Elon has a failing competitor, he is using his authority to disrupt Anthropic. They have a very strong case for suing this admin and if there are serious people in the govt, they will win.
There will be countries that won’t slow AI. Not sure I would want the US lagging behind in it.
I think “slowing AI” is a myth. It’s always growing and will continue to grow.
