I think enough time has passed that we can now make Twin Tower inflatable slides that collapse randomly. Even people who lost loved ones should be able to laugh about it now. The "never forget" sentiment is funny.

I'm pretty sure I was working in a grocery store before school that day. All I really know is that Mr Waterman's flight to NYC was canceled and all of a sudden firefighters were grabbing everyone up by their arms and rushing them off to where they needed to be next.

Just graduated college about 3 weeks before this and rolled out of bed to get ready for my new job. Radio station I had set my alarm to as I was laying in my bed said a plane had hit the world trade center. I, like most people, figured it was just a puddle jumper or something that made a big mistake. By the time I got out of the shower and got dressed they were saying a second plane had hit and you know it was no accident.

By the time I got to work, all of my coworkers were piled into the conference room watching the television. A couple hours later the boss tells us all to go home. He then proceeded to ask me and a couple others if we wanted to go play a round of golf. He said we could probably get a tee time pretty easily on a day like this. I thought it was rather bizarre but didn't want to upset the new boss and he was paying. Beautiful course and he was right, there was nobody out there. Had the whole place to ourselves. I felt guilty as **** the whole time I was out there.

I was a freshman in high school. Walked into my first class that morning, Algebra 2. I was the only freshman in the class, and since it was early in the school year I didn't really know anyone in there yet so I just sat in the back and kept to myself. I was sitting there and the kid next to me tapped my shoulder and asked if I had heard about NYC getting attacked this morning. I said no, and he told me that one of the Twin Towers had been "bombed."

The teacher basically just explained what we needed to do for homework, and then turned on the old azz TV up in the corner of the room. And that's how every single class went that day. Homework requirements explained, TV turned on to the news. I still remember it like it was yesterday/csb
Seems like a long post just to say that “I had/have no friends”. Also no one cares, no need to bring it up.

It is amazing this has been 25 years now. I was 29 when it happened. Not sure why, but I look through it now from our future generations eyes like my three kids born after it. So to compare for me and my kids aged 14-24, it’s akin to me in 1988 as a junior in High School looking back at the JFK assassination in 1963. Blows my mind.
