What always beats UK against very good teams. as it’s said, Deja Vu all over again. Bama scored 31 points n in the half that matters and our QB and WRs could not make one play to stop momentum and get back into the game. UK has to stretch the field to have a a chance. Bama has elite players at corner and safety and LB.

I think you answered your own question. As you succinctly stated very good teams always beat us because we are rarely a very good team. Our schedule always contains a goodly number of very good teams. This does not allow development of confidence that might allow you to play above your level and sneak an upset. Doesn’t even include the wear, tear and injuries from playing numerous very good teams.

That has always been the case for us. This is the life we made inside SEC football. Our hope must be that we have the right coaching staff that can identify, recruit and retain top talent, at least equal to the SEC top teams.
Thus far, most Kentucky coaches, historically, have not been able to do this. I don’t know if Will Stein can be the one to have Kentucky competing for a playoff spot, the verdict is still out. The odds are stacked against him, though.
I believe he suffered some humility Saturday, the question is what he learns from it and how we perform going forward.

Now that buying players is legal, why not buy the best team possible? Yes, it will take a few years but UK should be able to buy its roster needs.

I keep saying it, but we dont have the money. That is the realization that everyone needs to accept. We might find lightning in a bottle a couple times a decade and get 9 or 10 wins. But that is the ceiling with a lot more money being spent.

NIL is not UK's friend. We can't out spend everybody.

We were a basketball blue blood because we were one of the few schools that cared about basketball. We had A-1 facilities and you could be big man on campus. Now most of the schools have nice facilities and their all on TV.

Now it's big bucks and even if you don't have a pro career you've got five years to build a nest egg.

I do not like to lose either, but people really need to calm down. This is the best team DeBoer has put together at Bama vs a first year coach that came into a dumpster fire left by the previous staff. Bama's defense is elite.

Stein had his team ready, he was much more disciplined as a coach, and the recruits love him. He is going to be a really good coach and have a lot of success here, it will just take a couple seasons.

Damn. You all mean we aren’t going to win the national title in this staff’s first year? We have the top 5 schedule to do it.
