Well, he's certainly not a DSA candidate...he considers himself to be an "ideological moderate", but realistically he seems to be a democratic capitalist. For example, his health-care proposal is a "Medicare for All Who Want It". In concept it's designed to preserve private insurance rather than kill it like a Bernie-style single payer. But he did support the Green New Deal and is pretty aggressive on climate actions. The rest of his stances seem pretty par for the course for Dems; pro-life, LGTBQ support (duh), etc.
If they roll with Kamala or a DSA candidate they lose. It has to be a moderate

I agree with that. I've said before, after 4 years of Trump Americans want change (sanity). I'm not sure you get that with the dynamic of more gender/sexual orientation/transgender policy. Those issues, in part, got trump elected in 2024.
