TF is relieved because they love TF. This organization should be sued for malpractice. The Reds have fielded 3 of the worst batters in the MLB for players having 200+ ABs. Terrible roster construction. Terrible front office.

Matt McLain, TJ, K Hayes, shouldn’t be playing in MLB. Signed Geno (regressed). Let Nick Martinez go- now rumored to pay Singer around $20MM for one year. Hopefully they have been paying attention to his last several starts.
Their franchise pitcher- Greene- is getting ready for Tommy John, last years all star Abbott looks out of shape and can’t get through 4 innings lately. Lodolo not much better when he actually pitches. Gets blisters every other month. Lowder might be ok. Too soon to tell. Bledays average went from like .280 to .225 (started right after he appeared on MLB channel talking about his new and improved swing). Dropped CES who is now playing very well FOR ANOTHER team! Tito is soft. Wants everyone to love him. Marte? lol he just doesn’t give a crap. I could probably go on, but that’s my two cents.
Elly, Sal, and Chase are the only folks you can count on.

Lifelong Cincinnati pro sports fan, Reds and Bengals. Born in 80. For the Reds, 1990 was nice. 1994 and 1995 was pretty good. Brief spark in the 2010s. Everything else uas pretty much sucked.

Those that don’t want a floor believe they can’t afford to compete with the big spenders so they might as well tank. Put a cap in and the no floor group will go away imo.
The players don't want a cap. And not putting a floor in guarantees teams will tank. Both are required.
Which is why there will be a strike. Good. The players didn’t build or invest a thing.
The guy obviously has no interest in fielding a decent team. The value of teams has never been higher. They have a relatively new stadium. Sell the team while the value is very high and make the money he wants to make and let someone who will actually field a team buy it.
The owners must draw a hard line in the sand over a cap. If they don’t the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets(if they ever figure out roster construction), and the like will continue to buy the best teams and players. LAD make so much more money than all the other teams outside the NYY that it’s insane. They can’t continue to be allowed to spend 500m a year with no downside other than some taxes they obviously don’t care about paying. The Braves spend over 250m and they can’t even compare to the top 6 or 7 spenders which is insane.
A great manager, one who demands excellence and who isn't afraid to make the right decisions and who can make the right decisions without burning half a season, are not overrated. Francona is overrated.
Doesn't matter the manager it starts at the very top with any Cincinnati team.... That's the reason I can't root for any of them.
Because its free money to goof around in a clubhouse with absolutely no pressure to win.
It does matter the manager. You can't sit there with a straight face and say that Francona doesn't frequently leave guys in too long or allow them to play through long streaks of suckitude when any other manager not preoccupied with a bag of seeds would have made some kind of change. He alone has led them to losses this season. But, yes, it's on the front office to recognize these things and give two sheets about it. That doesn't excuse you never rooting for the Reds.
The Reds and the Bengals have always had **** front offices ever since I can remember and I'm 46 years old. I honestly can't stand professional sports anymore even though college is there now...
