Despite being Duke’s #1 d*** rider, he’s always been complimentary of Kentucky. Admittedly he’s always crapped on Kentucky fans for wanting to change coaches, but that’s probably just the case of taking up for coaches he’s fond of.
But for some reason he hasn’t really showered Kentucky with praise since Mark Pope has been coach. Does he not like Pope or something? It’s kind of weird. Is Pope that strange where even Vitale can’t find any positives? Those comments on how much money spent last year on NIL was unusually disparaging, even for Dick Vitale.

I mean… I don’t think that’s a terrible schedule. Gonzaga has freaking owned us. MSU punked us last year. A shorthanded UNC came into Rupp and stole one in a boring, uninspired showing by the cats. Arizona was an FF team. UVA is solid.
DickieV was referencing the amount of “cupcakes “ we scheduled. Arkansas has the same amount of the same level. He should criticize them as well.

I still don’t understand the pied piper influence many grant to Vitale. During his second career Vitale’s been nothing more than a carnival barker. Yet many somehow equate that to being a basketball “ambassador.” Whatever.
That's basically three preseason top 10 teams. Gonzaga gives them another top 12ish team. Indiana is a fringe top 20 team.
It's not a bad schedule, especially when one considers how difficult the SEC has become.
I think the OPs point was it's about as strong as ours. Heck, we play 3 of the same 5 teams n our power opponents. But he is triggered old man Vitale criticized UKs ooc but won't Arkansas. I dont let announcers, especially old geezer like Vitale, irk me but to each their own to the op.
Last year your hero Cal had the 13th hardest sec schedule while we had the 2nd . Don’t know about this year.
