Didn't want to start a new thread. Just wanted to add this. It's awesome hearing UK get some love from Hall of famers. Stein has us on the map. He's known from oregon and respected. It makes a difference. Also really cool that Chad Johnson's daughter plays for the UK track team.

good stuff. Of course I would imagine SEC defensive co-ordinators are gonna scheme for the plays detailed in the vid. But good stuff.
Stein calls them tendencies. When you have an elite offensive mind like stein, you know that and you have counters ready to blow up the defensive response. Then counters to those counters.
Even the original tendency/play design just puts an insane amount of pressure on a defense to make massive split second adjustments after a crazy shift. The play where we shifted an ineligible OL to rb and immediately snapped the ball was madman level play design.

I didn't watch the video. It was too long. I think it was either our first or second td. Shifted into unbalanced and i think 56 into the backfield. Snapped the ball. Defense had zero chance to figure out wth they just saw and it was an easy boyer td.
They used a similar situation without the ol shift into the backfield vs bama for that td and against a&m late for a huge pickup to nail the coffin.
Every play and every tendency is being mapped and charted by the top staffs in the SEC. Every week teams need do the same and account for the fact that they just cannot do the same thing over and over. That is why you can have one formation with multiple plays from that formation. Likewise, the same play from multiple formations. I cannot remember the game, but I remember watching a RB in a big game who always did something with his hands before the snap when he was going to get the ball. Repeatedly. I was calling the run plays from my couch because he was so predictable. That is why staffs need to continuously scout themselves. What are they showing? What are the players showing?
In his pc today, Stein corrected someone on those formations they were tackle over rather than a normal unbalanced.
Unbalanced makes a lineman eligible as long as he reports but is usually just used to hide a te. Tackle over is similar but has all the skill guys still eligible. Really nasty thing to handle after a shift or in tempo. Really nasty.
They for sure showed that play in the highlights from UK.
