Do you legitimately not understand why a top football player would want to play for Oklahoma?
For that coach and that offense I definitely do not understand why. It may be a moot point if they keep playing the way they are and we go in and beat them. Coach may not last the off season...
There is still time, Kellan** is a 2028 recruit. I believe he and Driver both end up at UK though.
I seen this and didn't like it, but there is MUCH time to get him to favor UK. Seneca, we need to show up against Okie, and kick some arse.
I'm sure the same recruiter is seeing both kids here in Kentucky plus Driver is prob recruiting him as well.
up until 5 days ago Kentucky didn’t look or seem like an impressive program. Now you’re right, end of the year can look very different. Which is also why I think it’s silly to even worry about this so far. By end of the year this recruitment can look completely different
Venables is a great recruiter and defensive mind. Hall is a defensive lineman. It makes sense.
Rich history for sure but in the Big 12. Since joining the SEC they are 10-9 in conference and being a KY kid and seeing the program on the rise one has to question why would he not want to be a part of that to go to a program that really doesn’t have the clout it once did and is likely no better than UK at the moment.
Venables feels like the only coach that has had Stein’s number in recruiting so far. Hopefully they crash and burn this season so these guys start reconsidering. Handing them an L in a few weeks would help with that.
The program has “been on the rise” for 4 days. I’m thrilled we beat Texas A&M but it was one game. Hopefully it can lead to us actually being on the rise.

personally thought we were on the rise with Stein himself. What he did on the recruiting trail in a short time while he was still coaching in the playoffs with Oregon was pretty incredible. And the players rave about playing for him and his passion. I think we are already on the rise for future seasons to come!
I'm not sure why people log picks this far before any signing. I can see if a commitment is eminent.
I just looked at OK's schedule. They could loose their next 3 games. I don't see them beating UGA or TX and they could loose to UK. Looking at the rest of their schedule, I could see them loosing 3 or more after the UK game. That could be 7 or more losses for OK.

If they commit now they can start receiving money from the school. Now if he decides to go somewhere else, he is responsible for the money received. Kid here in Memphis was being paid all through his senior year by Miss. St. Vandy came in and offered him more and paid State their money back, sucks for State, but like Coach Stein said, you stay on them until they are on campus!
Yeah, they’ll more than likely be 2-3 when we play them, don’t know if that’s good or bad but they’ll definitely be beaten up when we go to Norman.
I’ll never understand how many will question how anyone could live in City X. In this thread it’s Norman, OK, a good college town 25 miles from Oklahoma City. Oklahoma has a venerable history in football going back to Bud Wilkinson in the fifties. There is old oil money in that area and even the relatively small city of OKC has an NBA franchise, something not present in Kentucky. I’ve been in every state except North Dakota and have found beauty and great people in every one of them. I could live in every state, at least part of the year. Weather needs to be warm in winter. I was born and raised in Ky and never lived anywhere else because I love it but I truly believe I could find happiness just about anywhere. These kids with their NIL aren’t living in a dorm or a crappy apartment. There was an article a couple of weeks ago about these kids buying million dollar homes in their college towns

I already trust Stein already to evaluate the $ value of prospects and recruit/sign players efficiently by not overpaying for any one player and to allocate money to correct positions (offensive line #1, and so on) as he has done for this roster. You can already see the benefits of us paying top dollar for a likely all-conference o-line first and building around that while Oklahoma's QB has great skill players around him but is running for his life most downs. Trust in Will.
We have been on the rise since stein was hired. His recruiting, the excitement around the program with the energy he brings and it’s more than “we are just getting started bro” talk. We looked like a better coached football team in week 1 than stoops put on the field last year in week 12. We hung with bama for 3 full quarters. Need I remind you what bama did to us the last time they were in town? Now a top 10 win on the road against who several on this board expected a blowout. We have certainly been a team on the rise for more than 4 days. Incredibly short sighted thinking on your part IMO.
Losing him and Driver to OU would be a big downer. Hope we continue showing them they can play big time SEC football right here at home. We Need at least 1 coach at Christian Academy 4/5 days a week. They are pumping out high end prospects every year. Don't think we can flip Brown but I'll still have a tiny bit of hope.
Interesting to me that home town Louisville not mentioned as being in the mix.

The staff at Ou also has been recruiting the kid hard for a couple years. Our staff is behind from the start.
