Very big - top 10 kid out of the Bronx, canceled his UConn visit this weekend. McNamara making moves.
Separately, looks like Cal and Hurley going at it over Henry - this one should be interesting. Do you go play from Uncle Cal and his $$ or go play for a guy who wins? UConn already signed Bowman. This one is worth watching.
Top talent will be spread out more than ever now with nil. All the main schools can at least afford 1 big name they going after.
Agree - outside of the schools that prioritize freshmen willing to start them, like Cal. Cal will live and die by the strength of the class and his cohort.
The way it's trending is Duke gets 3, Cal gets 3, all the others get one apiece. Duke doesn't even seem all that aggressive this year. They locked up Kneuppel's brother, but haven't heard them overly involved in many of the other recruits. They'll probably end up with a wing and a center for 5.
What's been interesting this year is a lot of the 40+ kind of kids are going to second tier schools, likely to get playing time in this day of 5/5.
HS recruiting is just not as high a priority for top schools anymore.
