I see we are The only ranked team they play the rest of the year. So no way to get back in the rankings and mix for CFP . Perils of playing a patsy schedule.

I somewhat disagree. If they win all these cupcakes the record will allow those voters that exhibit bias with that now familiar refrain, “they beat those on the schedule. What more could they do?”.

They are so over-rated and were talking so much smack before the season . Its a pitiful conference outside of Miami.

They are right where they belong. I hope we roll them this year.

The selection committee will use a strength of conference metric for the first time this year in deciding at large bids so they’re screwed unless the outright win the conference. Hate it for them, I’ll lose sleep over it.

Before the game a UL fan I work with was talking about how easy their schedule was and that they could get to the playoffs, after they lost he said he was done with football and is now waiting on basketball, lol

If they win out and beat an undefeated Miami in the ACC title game they can still get in.

But that’s the only possible way.
This. It’s possible but that’s the only path.
One more loss and that whole team gives up on the season and I bet their qb goes down with a mysterious injury so he can sit out.

Kind of like Ryan Day a few years ago, some Card radio hosts were questioning whether Brohm should be calling the plays. That he cannot give attention to key issues on the field because he has to focus on dialing up the next play.

If he doesn't call plays, then baby Brohm is exposed and has to earn his paycheck.

I hope you are correct but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Vandy didn’t get in last year at 10-2 with their only two losses to #10 bama and #20 Texas and they had four wins against top 20 teams. The NCAA announced last week that they will use a strength of conference metric in at large bids and there are only six of those available. The ACC has three teams in the top 25, the selection committee will choose a 9-3 SEC team over a 10-2 ACC team based on strength of schedule. The only way possible for them to get in is to win the conference, not say they can’t do that as they’re pretty good with Kienholz (sp) but they have to win out and beat Miami though Pitt can’t be ruled out.

What's hilarious is they say everything to make it look like they adequately credit the SEC for being so insanely tough, then cave to media pressure when its time to make the selections.

That's why there is always a garbage sos team or two in there over 9+ win sec teams.

They aren’t done losing to bad teams. If they can lose to Wake Forest at home, they can lose to anyone. They might have 2 or 3 losses by the time they play us.

I don’t disagree with your logic and argument. If schedule is indeed taken into account You are absolutely correct. I just don’t trust the people who put it together. Furthermore I don’t trust the ACC to have Miami, if they are undefeated going into champio nship game throw it in order to get a second team in playoffs

Wake Forest put the cards to sleep with Brohms lullaby, ending the wishful thinking of a playoff berth, even with the cupcake schedule.

They aren’t winning out now and they certainly won’t beat Miami. Even if they did do that I could see them getting snubbed depending on the teams left and their loss totals. Their SOS is going to be very mediocre at best. Probably pretty terrible compared to the rest of the playoff field.

Don't they already have 2 losses?
I should have properly finished my thought. 2-3 losses against bad/mediocre schools. Losing to OM is understandable, but losing to schools like Wake Forest, is very telling, especially when it happens at home.
Looks like they get NCST today, I'm predicting a loss and some lockerroom issues to start.
