He’s a piece of crap. Those fraud schemes purposely target elderly, vulnerable and good hearted people that make easy victims. As if the NIL money he was extracting for barely playing wasn’t enough of a scam.

I hope he gets real prison time …but I’m guessin his plea bargain probably means he won’t.

Yeah that is really some scummy stuff. His NIL the past 4 years+ wasn’t enough? I want to know if the victims will ever get the 2.2 million they were scammed out of. It was 2 people. He only pleaded to the 9k wire fraud charge. He started at Arizona, and kept it going at every stop with fake names, emails, all kinds of stuff. He signed a promissory note to pay back 100k at UK in 2025, but never did.

POS, but it always amazes me that people fall for email scams. Seriously, I just don't understand why anyone would willingly give away thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars to someone else who's only contact was through email.

I don’t get it, but they must have had ties to the university or something. Zona has a deep international basketball pipeline. I have no idea why he picked those two, but it was for some reason he thought he could get them on.
