Think of the guys we’ve loved to hate over the years, Woody Hayes, Ratface, Bobby Petrino, Dale Brown, Christain Latner, Dean Smith, ,Denny Crum. The cheaters, the poor sports, the crybabies, where we would be without them. Everybody hates Lane Kiffin, but he makes it more fun.

For sure! Most of those guys including Kiffin were very good to great as well. You love to hate them but then also respect them to a degree.

Kiffin is disliked because he only cares about Kiffin. Honestly, in that business, I completely get it.

add the refs as another villain. They catered to Kiffin's every freakout, called ridiculous roughing the passer and offensive holding that were flat out wrong and wouldn't be called by a non-homer crew. Hell they nearly gave them a reception for a ball that clearly hit the ground. Refs and the announcers made me wanna puke with their homerism

Didn’t have any hate from Woody, Dale Brown or Denny Crum. Saddened that Woody went out the way he did. Dale Brown loved being a college coach and trying to positively mold young men under his watch. Denny coached what was then a non-old-school style of basketball that I despised, right up until UofL won that championship with Pervis Ellison and crew. Then it dawned on me that Denny Crum was a helluva college basketball coach.

The other dudes on your list? Yeah, I think they’re all a##holes.

Looking back, every call against UK that was reviewed was reversed. Late in the 4th they called a clear catch out of bounds by Millers and of course a proper review showed he got a foot down. Refs were like 0/6 on uk calls

I think we got a very close call on the replay of the kick return for a touchdown. I have no complaints with the refs last night . Yes kiffin is a jerk and should not be allowed to go out on the field like he did .

Hell yes. Sports = entertainment. The bible was based on good and evil, 80% of movies are based on good/evil, it's the framework of existence and should live in sports. Think about the popularity of Game of Thrones.

Kiffin is the ultimate villain. There have been less in CFB than there are in CBB. Brian Kelly could have been a good one. Cignetti has a little something, but he's too much of the engine that could at the moment.

On the hoops side, there are more historically. Hurley is someone everyone loves to hate. There is something smug about Scheyer that makes you want to punch him in the face. Pitino for non StJ or UK fans is easy to dislike. Cal and his BS artistry makes you want to slap him.

ESPN should just create a "Kiffin cam" on the bottom right of the screen instead of flashing to him after every play, it's essentially the same difference. Absolutely astonishing how much they showed him. Made beating him that much sweeter

When I run, I run to "workout music"...which is essentially girly pop. Need the tempo. Lifting is angry metal though. Need the pump. I've honestly done hot yoga a few times since seeing Kiffin's transformation. I can't give up the booze and red meat like he did though. Not ready for that. Sorta like he can't give up the carousing. Honestly, I respect him for what he is in that regard. He's owned it lately.
