I liked the 'bots are gone' chatter as much as anyone on the left, but we do need to be better about vetting sources and misinformation as well:

Where Real Troll Farms Operate

Real Russian disinformation networks do not operate their social media bots directly from Yandex servers. Western social media companies proactively block traffic coming from known Russian corporate data centers. To bypass these restrictions, state-sponsored troll farms use Western cloud hosting, residential proxies, VPNs, and hacked smart devices to mask their origins, making it look as though their posts are coming from regular users in the United States or Europe.

Impact on Truth Social

The attacks on Yandex did not disrupt the ability to post on Truth Social. Network and website status monitors show that Truth Social has been operating normally through the dates of the Yandex strikes, with no massive outages or disruptions to the platform's core functions. Because actual Russian disinformation accounts utilize decentralized Western proxies rather than centralized Russian servers, the Yandex data center destruction would not have brought down a U.S. social media platform or suddenly blocked bots from posting.
So I've been looking into it and though there are signs that the replies on X are off compared to normal, the jury is out on whether the data center strikes are responsible. I had a long back and forth with Claude who dismissed most of my evidence outright, with technical explanations, until I uploaded the tweets/charts from Jamie Dupree and Amy McGrath. Claude thinks those are credible but isn't convinced they are the evidence that proves the bots were erased. I'm not copying and pasting the multiple pages of the conversation but these were Claude's final words.

"The strikes are real, and Yandex’s automated traffic did drop. Whether any of that reduced political bot activity is untested so far, and the people posting it, including Snyder, mostly acknowledge that or haven’t looked."

The bot activity and replies are off on Threads too- and I didn't do a deep dive, other than a few back and forths on AI as well.

However, I haven't wanted to buy into the hype unless it was real. There is more and more left/liberal propaganda and misinformation these days so I'm trying to be careful. I never want to become completely misinformed and propagandized like maga has become and always want to only read reputable sources/truth.

America is behind Zelensky despite the backwards signals from the degenerate in the White House. Trump loves Puti because he only admires dictators and considers him a friend, despite his slaughter in Ukraine. Trump is embarrassing us on the world stage and you should be ashamed of being on his side.
Siding with Russia/Putin on ANYTHING is the height of insanity

Without doing a deeper dive on the source of the claim, I'm seeing evidence that the tweet from Zelensky that said X got nicer after the Yandex strikes was from March and since Jennifer Griffin(Chief National Security correspondent at the Pentagon for Fox News) reposted it and amplified it with her comment, it gave it credibility. I shared that tweet in a couple places and it's gone now so...she must have doubts too.

Does anyone actually believe this liar anymore? Honestly, does he even know what the truth even is?

Trump: There has to be a ceasefire.

Zelensky: Yes, no conditions.

Putin: No.

Trump: You two should meet face-to-face.

Zelensky: Anytime, anywhere.

Putin: No.

Trump: Stop hitting energy infrastructure.

Zelensky: Agreed.

Putin: No.

Trump: Thank you, Vladimir. Clearly Zelensky is the problem.

Russia is much worse because they attacked and invaded a country. (Ukraine)
Doesnt change the fact both are very bad and we should have never been involved. Russia had a legit problem with what was going on in Ukraine with the west backed coup and the ethnic cleansing of ethnic Russians in Ukraine after the coup. Interesting you back the Nazi's that started the ethnic cleansing in Ukraine. This is why i said both are bad...

Well that's a cottam lie that I can bust right now. No amount of money could convince me to spread pro-trump propaganda and you can take that to the bank. Unlike you, my integrity matters to me so I would never stoop that low. You are not to be taken as a serious person in these matters....

@TigerRagRob I'm geniunely curious, do you think @dpic73 is paid by someone or something to post "leftist propaganda talking points?" Like, you honestly believe he's legitimately paid by some leftist donor or org to post here and elsewhere talking points?

Papa Ganoush started that lame rumor two handles ago and the lowest common denominators on the board parrot it now like it's true, even though it would be absurd for someone to pay little ole me to influence ten rednecks on a college political message board, lol. 🤤

I'm just curious if he LEGITIMATELY believes it. And how it would even go down for someone on a Clemson football recruiting free off topics politics board to be "paid." lol. If anything, he'd need to be consistent and say @TigerGrowls is paid as well by maga.

Both are insane leaps of logic, but I'm just curious if he would actually stand by it.

You're way off and don't have evidence for your contentions of ethnic cleansing. They're not close. One attacked the other.

The core claims in this statement—that the 2014 Euromaidan revolution was a "West-backed coup," that Ukraine committed "ethnic cleansing," and that Ukraine was run by "Nazis"—are central elements of Russian state narrative and are factually unsupported by international observers, human rights organizations, and election results.

Here is a breakdown of the history and facts surrounding these claims.

1. The "West-Backed Coup" vs. The Euromaidan Revolution

  • What Happened: In late 2013, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych abruptly backed out of a widely supported trade agreement with the European Union, favoring closer ties with Russia instead. This sparked massive, months-long street protests in Kyiv (the Euromaidan movement) against government corruption and authoritarian shifts.
  • The Outcome: In February 2014, after Yanukovych’s security forces killed around 100 protesters, Yanukovych fled to Russia. Ukraine’s democratically elected parliament then voted overwhelmingly (328 to 0) to remove Yanukovych from office and set up interim elections.
  • Foreign Role: While Western diplomats expressed support for the protesters, the movement was driven by millions of Ukrainian citizens. In May 2014, Ukraine held free and fair presidential elections, monitored by international observers, electing Petro Poroshenko.

2. Was There "Ethnic Cleansing" of Ethnic Russians?

  • The Claims: Claims of "genocide" or "ethnic cleansing" against Russian speakers in the Donbas region (eastern Ukraine) were used by the Kremlin as a primary justification for invading Ukraine.
  • The Facts: Independent international bodies—including the United Nations (OHCHR), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and International Court of Justice (ICJ)—found zero evidence of genocide or systematic ethnic cleansing in Ukraine.
  • The Donbas War (2014–2021): After Russia covertly annexed Crimea and sent armed units (led by Russian operatives like Igor Girkin) into eastern Ukraine in 2014, fighting broke out between the Ukrainian military and Russian-backed separatists.
  • Casualties: Roughly 14,000 people were killed in the Donbas conflict between 2014 and 2021. Crucially:
    • Over 80% of those deaths occurred during active fighting in 2014 and 2015.
    • Casualties dropped dramatically after ceasefires were signed; by 2021, the UN recorded 25 civilian deaths total across both sides of the frontline, mostly caused by landmines and unexploded ordnance.
    • The civilian casualties included both Ukrainian-speakers and Russian-speakers on both sides of the conflict line.

3. The "Nazi" Narrative

  • Far-Right Presence: Far-right elements, such as the Azov Battalion (initially a volunteer militia formed in 2014), did participate in defending Ukraine against Russian-backed forces. Azov's founders held ultra-nationalist ideology and used far-right symbolism.
  • Government Integration & Political Influence: The Ukrainian government subsequently integrated volunteer militias into the official National Guard, stripping away political wings and leadership.
  • Electoral Support: Ukraine is not run by Nazis. Far-right parties in Ukraine have virtually no political power. In the 2019 parliamentary elections, a coalition of all far-right parties (including Svoboda and the National Corps) received less than 2.3% of the vote, failing to win a single seat in parliament.
  • Leadership: In 2019, Volodymyr Zelenskyy—a Russian-speaking Jewish Ukrainian whose grandfather fought against Nazi Germany in the Red Army—was elected president in a landslide victory with 73% of the vote.

Summary

While critical debates about U.S. foreign policy involvement in Eastern Europe are valid, the premises that Ukraine committed ethnic cleansing or is run by Nazis are false narratives contradicted by international monitoring groups, election records, and neutral humanitarian organizations.

Dpic and the dumb tards theory is based off of $100,000 in Russian Facebook ads, when there was something like $250B spent on ads.

Think about how far gone you have to be to not understand that math.

About $100,000 on Facebook ads (the most widely cited figure for paid social media influence), with broader US-focused operation costs estimated around $2–2.3 million over roughly two years.
The primary entity involved was the Internet Research Agency (IRA), a St. Petersburg-based “troll farm” funded by oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin (with Kremlin ties). It operated fake accounts, pages, and groups that posted organic (unpaid) content and bought ads to amplify divisive issues, support Trump, and denigrate Clinton.
Key spending figures
• Facebook/Instagram ads: Facebook reported that IRA-linked accounts spent approximately $100,000 on roughly 3,000–3,500 ads from mid-2015 through mid-2017. An additional ~$50,000 came from more weakly linked Russian-associated accounts. The Mueller Report and congressional testimony confirm the ~$100,000 figure for IRA ad buys. Many ads focused on polarizing topics (race, immigration, guns, etc.) rather than explicitly naming candidates; some did so directly. These ads reached an estimated 11.4 million people, while related organic posts reached far more (up to ~126 million on Facebook alone via ~80,000 posts).
• Broader US operations: A 2017 investigation by Russian outlet RBC estimated the IRA spent about $2.3 million on its US-focused efforts over two years. Most of that went to salaries for up to ~90 staff on the “US desk.” Roughly $120,000 was allocated to social media promotion and ~$80,000 to support about 100 US-based activists who organized ~40 rallies.
• IRA overall scale: Around the 2016 election period, the IRA had a reported monthly budget of roughly $1.25 million. Broader related operations (sometimes called Project Lakhta) involved budgets on the order of $12 million in 2016 and tens of millions over multiple years, covering various activities beyond just the US election.
Context
For comparison, the Trump and Clinton campaigns together spent about $81 million on Facebook ads alone in the run-up to the election (a figure cited in congressional testimony), and total 2016 campaign/outside spending was in the billions. The Russian paid ad spend was a tiny fraction of that—on the order of 0.05% or less relative to the major campaigns’ Facebook spending. Much of the IRA’s reach came from free organic posts rather than paid ads.
These numbers come from Facebook disclosures, the Mueller Report, Senate Intelligence Committee findings, and contemporaneous reporting. Democratic officials, the intelligence community, and others highlighted the overall Russian interference campaign (including the social media effort, hacking, and leaks) as an attempt to sow discord and influence the election. Critics have noted the relatively small scale of the paid social media component compared with domestic political spending.
Lets not forget the Ukraine and the EU spent lots of money to help the left wins elections in the US. They dont mind that however...

I watched them attack ethnic Russians in Ukraine after the takeover. It was all over the news at the time. They bombed and shelled city's full of Russian civilians with the intent to kill or drive them out of Ukraine. You are supporting Nazi's doing these acts just because you hate Russia more? Its important for western powers to paint Ukraine as a victim so that Russia is seen as the only bad guy. Facts are both are bad. There is a long history in Ukraine with Nazi's. When Germany invaded many in Ukraine viewed the Nazi's as liberators and fought against the Russians and helped the Nazi's roundup and kill Jews there. This didnt just start in 2013. This conflict has been going on for over a century. But most people have no clue about the area or history and cant even find it on a map...

I know the IQ is low and you cant rap your head around both being bad. Thats far from shilling for Russia. You however are shilling for Nazi's and people that started the violence with their attempted ethnic cleansing in 2013. I dont support either thus unlike you, I dont have blood on my hands. How many more kids in Ukraine and Russia need to die before your hatred of Russians is satisfied? Nazi's have always hated Russians and Jews, just like the DSA does still today...
