How’d we get to the point where one guy’s toe affected the team

The amount of money we’re paying for this we have to have performance. KT to me seems injury prone. If we’re concerned about players toes we are not looking at the big picture. There isn’t a game left on our schedule we couldn’t have won with KT and Fluff. We are a three win team without them. If State, the coaches, our administration can’t handle this better we have to do what we need to do to win.

If those toes were healthy, we still would have gotten drilled today. KT and Fluff's health is a nice built-in excuse but there's a whole lot more than that to be worried about with this football team.

Because this team was built on a house of cards. We’ve always been a soft team under Lebby with weak line play on both sides. Mix in poor in-game management and there’s a reason he’s won 1 conf game in 3 years with QBs not named Kamario.

The most concerning thing is I saw players quit and not care today, even before the game was out of hand. Thats a culture problem that starts at the top. If we get that deflated with only 1 loss then that’s a big red flag for Lebby

Nothing much has changed. We went from being a crap team with no good players to a crap team with a few good players to a crap team with a few good players who are injured and can't play.
I would revise to say mid/low tier SEC team. “Pretty good” team anywhere else. Otherwise agree with the rest

This team has one game left they can win without Taylor. TennTech!
If he is back in time for Auburn, maybe a chance but really with KT immobile, even Vandy is in question. So if this team finds a way to get to 6-5 and loses to Ole Miss, I think you have to can Lebby. 4 straight losses to the Rebears is unacceptable in this era of football.

Name me the team that doesn’t suffer greatly when their best player and QB is out? It’s not an excuse, it’s just a fact. We will never be a team that can withstand an injury to our best player and just keep on going. There are probably less than 5 of those type teams.

There were plays to be made today and Puckett couldn’t make them. I honestly think with a healthy K1 & Fluff we win today.

It goes a helluva lot deeper than KT and his toe. Even with KT and Fluff today we would've still $#!t the bed.

Here's a Captain Obvious moment, dispute it if you want. KT and Fluff don't play defense. KT and Fluff don't block DL. We wouldn't have won with them today healthy or not. And, we are right back where we were this time last season, 4-2.

There's a difference between losing a game where the other guy was just better vs just coming out completely uncompetitive. Just like I said last game when we were uncompetitive up front and gave up a 50 burger to bama on our home field. KT and Fluff have zero to do with that.

it takes a special kind of person to think we would've won this game with KT and fluff. There is not a single logical argument that could be made to support that conclusion.

Anyone who says we wouldn’t have won with them is just blindly guessing. This board’s prediction track record is pathetic. I bet we wouldn’t have lost by 31. Feel pretty confident about that.

I see you’re back after getting embarrassed a couple of weeks ago. But here’s a plot twist, I actually think we didn’t have a great effort today. I think our guys are aware of the difference in ability between Puckett & K1 and it affected their play. That’s completely understandable. No team, including Saban’s Alabama was immune to that kind of let down. But anyone who thinks they know exactly how the game would go with K1 is just talking out of their ***. This board’s prediction record is awful.

And none of you can spend the rest of the season "blindly guessing" saying "if only they hadn't gotten hurt we would have won so we gotta give Lebby another season". Agree?

I heard people say all week, we should just concede this game and save our best players for the rest of the season. My biggest gripe is it appeared our coaching staff did exactly that. There was no one wearing maroon that came in to that game with a notion we could win. I am 100% with keeping KT and Fluff healthy, but how do you allow the rest of the team to absolutely quit without them?

To further add to my post, if Kentucky can go there and win, even in overtime, it's damn embarrassing to go there and lose by four damn touchdowns. Again, this goes way beyond KT and his toe.

Stein has Kentucky in games in year 1. Lebby was losing to Toledo and going 2-10 in year 1.
