To be fair to Pope you’re comparing Stein who has 7 games while Pope has double digit years as a head coach. A better comparisons would be Stoops. Stoops has slightly above 50% career win %. He did good things here because of the history of our program. The fascinating thing to me is people anti Stoops cause he wasn’t good enough, but pro Pope when he isn’t close to good enough for UK
