I appreciate the fact that you agree. FWIW, It certainly gives you more cred with me when we disagree.

Graft and corruption while in public office are hard to stomach, no matter what party the official is from. I don't believe politicians should be allowed to buy and sell stock while they are in public office (and privy to inside information or information that will move the markets), but the selling of a pardon, and for this kind of money ($50 million!), is so obvious and so improper that it is mind boggling. I hope that Habba is somehow forced to disgorge that ill gotten $50 million.

This administration is not the only administration that has abused the Pardon Power, but the abuses of this Administration are so frequent and so unvarnished that I suspect there may well be support for a Constitutional amendment putting some limits on the Pardon Power. Trump has already declared that he has the power to pardon himself, and you know he is going to at least attempt it before leaving office.

The countdown timer is on- he does this sometimes. By next week (if it's still a story), he'll have come around some on it. In 2 weeks time? He'll have an entire explanation as to why he supports it.

He does this with everything and at the end of the day he rationalizes literally any and everything the Trump Admin does after the propaganda gets to him.

His base instincts are correct for the most part at least.

That's an extremely lame comparison. No proof that either one did anything illegal and Biden's wealth only increased by $2 million while in office, due to his $400,000 salary and the appreciation of his retirement plans and his Delaware home. That's it.

Just because the man you'd give your life for is an obscenely corrupt buffoon doesn't mean everything he does applies to the previous administration, but your desperation to make it so is hilarious.
