Not that there's anything wrong with it but Natchez is the gay capital of Mississippi. Could be a connection between the two.

Natchez is a huge LSU town. I grew up about 10 miles south of town. We could be to Tiger Stadium in an hour and 15 minutes. Took 4.5 hours to get to Oxford. Oxford is closer to Cairo, Illinois than it is to Natchez. Natchez is also more culturally like most of Louisiana than it is like most of Mississippi.

I've never been to Natchez or Vicksburg in my life. But I've known one guy from Natchez.

Big LSU fan that failed out of Belhaven and ole Miss.

Sort of related, I learned this weekend trying to find it while driving that MSU doesn't have radio presence on the MS Gulf Coast, and that kind of sucks because Ole Miss was really easy to find. I drive a lot and would love to listen to Neil.

This past weekend. I asked the bartender if he could turn on the State game. He said yeah ok but you know Natchez is an Ole Miss/LSU town. I guess it’s that antebellum atmosphere.
Not sure if there were others options - haven’t been to Natchez in 30 years or so but I would have gotten up and walked out!

Natchez is a mostly LSU town, in terms of casual fans. But there is a lot of Mississippi university representation. Even some of the 10 USM fans live there.

Born and raised in Natchez. No doubt Msu is in third place behind Lsu and Ole Dixie. I have many friends living in or around Natchez. It makes me sick what use to be close to 30K with industry to now maybe 12-14K with only the antebellum homes left. Oldest city/town on the Miss River!
BR is about 88 miles away, first college football game i went to was at Tiger stadium when i was about 9 years old.

I grew up in Natchez as one of the very few State fans. Everyone is an LSU fan, a USM fan or an Ole Miss fan. The overwhelming majority are for LSU though. Hell my first college game was an LSU game because it is so close to Natchez.

I have cousins that grew up in Natchez and all of them were big LSU fans. Definitely something about the proximity to Baton Rouge. Growing up (Meridian), most people I knew from south MS (coast up to H'burg) were LSU with a few USM fans because their parents went there.

So I take it you are mad they are LSU fans because all Bama fans hate LSU?**
