This past weekend. I asked the bartender if he could turn on the State game. He said yeah ok but you know Natchez is an Ole Miss/LSU town. I guess it’s that antebellum atmosphere.
Look away, look away....This past weekend. I asked the bartender if he could turn on the State game. He said yeah ok but you know Natchez is an Ole Miss/LSU town. I guess it’s that antebellum atmosphere.
Any bartender who refuses to turn on a State game does not understand how much the team makes us drink...This past weekend. I asked the bartender if he could turn on the State game. He said yeah ok but you know Natchez is an Ole Miss/LSU town. I guess it’s that antebellum atmosphere.
Not that there's anything wrong with it but Natchez is the gay capital of Mississippi. Could be a connection between the two.

Would've sworn that was Ocean Springs........Lotsa 'artsy' types down that way............Not that there's anything wrong with it but Natchez is the gay capital of Mississippi. Could be a connection between the two.
That is my experience.Natchez is more LSU than anything.
I’d highly recommend the Varsity app. It’s great. Neil is just a click awaySort of related, I learned this weekend trying to find it while driving that MSU doesn't have radio presence on the MS Gulf Coast, and that kind of sucks because Ole Miss was really easy to find. I drive a lot and would love to listen to Neil.
Not sure if there were others options - haven’t been to Natchez in 30 years or so but I would have gotten up and walked out! This past weekend. Been that way for well over a decade.Sort of related, I learned this weekend trying to find it while driving that MSU doesn't have radio presence on the MS Gulf Coast, and that kind of sucks because Ole Miss was really easy to find. I drive a lot and would love to listen to Neil.

I believe the point is, why don’t we get coverage in a prominent area of our own stateNumerous ways to listen on phone. Hailstste app, I heart radio etc
It was too early to check into the bnb. Another couple wanted to watch it too.Not sure if there were others options - haven’t been to Natchez in 30 years or so but I would have gotten up and walked out!

I grew up in Natchez as one of the very few State fans. Everyone is an LSU fan, a USM fan or an Ole Miss fan. The overwhelming majority are for LSU though. Hell my first college game was an LSU game because it is so close to Natchez. This past weekend. I asked the bartender if he could turn on the State game. He said yeah ok but you know Natchez is an Ole Miss/LSU town. I guess it’s that antebellum atmosphere.
And has the most glorious head of hair you’ve ever seen. I’ve been told it’s real. The mayor is State grad.
IMO better to get a place on Lake Saint John and have access to Natchez without living there.I like Natchez. I think it would be a pretty sweet town to retire in.
Natchez is a huge LSU town. I grew up about 10 miles south of town. We could be to Tiger Stadium in an hour and 15 minutes. Took 4.5 hours to get to Oxford. Oxford is closer to Cairo, Illinois than it is to Natchez. Natchez is also more culturally like most of Louisiana than it is like most of Mississippi.

This is a great take, especially if retiring. The hospital in nearby Ferriday is a decent option. Because if you live in the area, you are already traveling to Baton Rouge or Jackson for specialists/acute care.IMO better to get a place on Lake Saint John and have access to Natchez without living there.
I have cousins that grew up in Natchez and all of them were big LSU fans. Definitely something about the proximity to Baton Rouge. Growing up (Meridian), most people I knew from south MS (coast up to H'burg) were LSU with a few USM fans because their parents went there.Natchez is a huge LSU town. So I take it you are mad they are LSU fans because all Bama fans hate LSU?**I have cousins that grew up in Natchez and all of them were big LSU fans.
