I thought the music thread was great. I was starting to think the blue team couldn’t make a decent joke anymore.
Sigh...now I gotta look up the thread that is locked? Or did it go so far off its erased?I thought the music thread was great. I was starting to think the blue team couldn’t make a decent joke anymore.
I thought it could be good too...but then a Nuke was dropped.I thought the music thread was great. I was starting to think the blue team couldn’t make a decent joke anymore.

Yeah, I'd really love to see us get away from acting like our favorite team won or lost. Increasingly, I suspect most of the real issues we face are less political and more cultural. The left this morning

It's going to be a rough time to be in leadership, whoever that is.
[/checks stock ticker].It's going to be a rough time to be in leadership, whoever that is.
Yes, we should really all stop gloating... right after I post this great random song by the Boss**Yeah, I'd really love to see us get away from acting like our favorite team won or lost.
Now the wait for all the outrage as the pendulum potentially swings way too far left. As if physics has somehow changed and you can just pull it that far right without it eventually swinging the other way…The left this morning

Not going to happen in this media environment. It’s all about the team and no nuance.Yeah, I'd really love to see us get away from acting like our favorite team won or lost. Increasingly, I suspect most of the real issues we face are less political and more cultural.
that's fair.Yes, we should really all stop gloating... right after I post this great random song by the Boss**
just ribbing ya, that was a pretty good callback.
If the Democrats walk down the petulant child retribution trail to match Trump they will be punished. If they actually try to behave like adults and legislate maybe we get some stability or normal political bickering.Yeah, I'd really love to see us get away from acting like our favorite team won or lost. Increasingly, I suspect most of the real issues we face are less political and more cultural.
Yeah I think you're probably right, but even a slight shift in the trajectory would be nice. Not going to happen in this media environment. It’s all about the team and no nuance.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see a Bill Clinton out there anywhere in the democratic lineup. It seems like those days are gone. But hey maybe so I guess. If the Democrats walk down the petulant child retribution trail to match Trump they will be punished. If they actually try to behave like adults and legislate maybe we get some stability or normal political bickering.
Not much is going to happen right now. You have democrats controlling the legislature with a Republican president. It’s going to be deadlock essentially. The senate flipping is the bigger deal for whoever is president in 28.Now the wait for all the outrage as the pendulum potentially swings way too far left. As if physics has somehow changed and you can just pull it that far right without it eventually swinging the other way…
I think what you meant to say was missiles were sent to Cuba.I thought it could be good too...but then a Nuke was dropped.
Genuinely curious - what qualities/political positions are you wanting in that person?I hope I'm wrong but I don't see a Bill Clinton out there anywhere in the democratic lineup. It seems like those days are gone. But hey maybe so I guess.
if it makes the two sides work together and brings the Republican Party back to some semblance of practicing honest to god conservatism without the culture wars? Yes.
For me, someone who is smart enough to keep the country "between the ditches" and legislate from both the center left and the center right when common sense calls for it . I know this is a reach but since you asked LOL .Genuinely curious - what qualities/political positions are you wanting in that person?
if it makes the two sides work together and brings the Republican Party back to some semblance of practicing honest to god conservatism without the culture wars? Yes.
so in short the answer is likely a resounding no.
the democrats will take this as a mandate and overplay their hand. They won’t remember won’t happened 2 years ago. The “conservative” media will paint the democrats as evil boogeymen (especially the new senator from Michigan) and get the other side so fired up that it stays a war between teams. And in a few years they will change sides and we will do this again and again as we continue to rearrange deck chairs on the titanic.
I’m just tired of Americans hating each other because of what hat they wear.
You reap what you sowThe Repubs went too far right (maga) and got "corrected".......now the Dems will go too far left (socialism) and eventually reap what they sow also. The first party to realize governing smewhere near the "middle" is the way to go will be in office an extensed period . Oh well wash, rinse, repeat
Couple of years? How about for the rest of time. I don’t see it ever changing with a two party system.![]()
What sort of evil magic are you working with? You just laid out exactly what will happen for the next couple years!
Sadly, in today's society aren't they one and the same?Increasingly, I suspect most of the real issues we face are less political and more cultural.
Now the wait for all the outrage as the pendulum potentially swings way too far left. As if physics has somehow changed and you can just pull it that far right without it eventually swinging the other way…
