Props to them. They got issues that a playoff game can't fix. Sounds like the program needs something to return it to respectability, now is the time to find it. An 0-10 team should never qualify anyways.

There should be ways the state should make less rounds for certain regions if the fields are full of 0-10 or 1-9 schools. This has always been 1A's issue, especially out east. Byes for the top seeds aren't great but they shouldn't be wasting ref manpower or the fans times when they are playing an 0-10 school that is lucky to score a TD a game either.

Yes, some of these scenarios are crazy how some teams make it in.

I remember going 8-2, (5-1 conference)my senior year and only losing to two teams that were in the top 10 in their respective classes, and NOT making the playoffs.
I remember Eastern Randolph not making the playoffs because of a coin flip. In 1996, the Cats finished in a three-way tie for first place in their conference. Talk about one crappy way to miss playoffs....

In my junior year at Hertford County 1992 we missed the playoffs after a coin flip, three-way tie with us, SWE and Bertie, SWE won and played. This was the year before the Big 8 Conference.
