Sentiment this week was that we really would like to go 1-1, but expected 0-2. At least that’s how I felt…

The question is: is the Vandy loss in the rear view now? Anomaly? Still worrisome?

In the years I have watched UK basketball, this may be the team I’ve had the most trouble projecting game to game and projecting end of season. I have no clue. Just gonna watch from now on…

Still worrisome. Last night was the first game we played from tip to end. Maybe now roles are defined. Maybe they figured something out on how to use this group. Idk but I need to see us play like this 5-6 games in a row but we are 7-1 last 8 game I believe. Solid and improving overall.

Yep. They’re clawing their way out of the hole they dug early in the season and you have to respect that but damn what could have been had they come in focused and prepared.

They shot the ball super well at Arky. Shot it super poorly at Vandy. That’s the difference. The only difference. It will be the difference maker in Q1 games. Just hope they can repeat the shooting performance.

100%. The last 13 games says 10-3, but we all know the story is not that simple…but also can’t deny 10-3 over the last 13 is very solid considering the comp.

Still worrisome. Biggest thing for me is our inconsistent PG play. Arkansas' guards defense isn't good enough to take advantage. When teams can "press" that advantage it hurts everything else UK does offensively. Then our defense gambles more than it already does to try and create scoring opportunities.

Seemed to me against Vandy they shot themselves right out of their composure. Something like 1 for 10 in the first few minutes and the wheels just ran off the track.

Last nights win reminded me of one of those classic Billy G teams. We out toughed them. At least for last night we has a team of Ramon Harris'es.

Spill over from another thread where someone said Noah played a great game and can be a big contributor and this poster disagrees and posted his shooting stats multiple times.

It’s all selfishness and fight. He has to bench the selfish guys (especially JJ) and pull anyone not playing with effort immediately.

I don’t disagree. Their margin for error is super slim vs a good team. A start like that and they’re down 10-12 points easily. Then it snowballed.

Not sure what’s confusing you. We were hitting and they weren’t. With us.

Look at Gonzaga, UNC, Mich St, Vandy and Bama. They all made a ton and we couldn’t hit squat. Against us.

We shot 7% against UNC. Vandy was the best of those five and we shot 25%.

I really don't understand why stuff like this continues. I wonder if Pope even tells JJ to be more of a team player and not take bad shots.

I have sat behind a couple of good coaches during games and I have never seen a case where a player does not listen or blatantly refuses to do what a coach tells him to do without getting his ears blasted or put on the bench.

I can just imagine that Coach Rupp would have straightened stuff like that out really quick.
