I wonder if the Seton Hall Christie Plant even called 1 or 2? Stupid AD hire, same Jersey guy mentality that has kept this team in Neutral for eternity....change the culture..3, 5, 6 do not change the culture

Golden is the safe pick

Obviously trolling

Also obvious that you know nothing about college football, or what it takes to be an admisistator.

2. Rick Neuheisel - Been out of coaching too long.
3. Greg Schiano - Been out of coaching too long (2 years in this business is long)
4. Al Golden - Soon will be out of coaching.
5. PJFleck - Should worry more about coaching than his stupid rowing shtick.
6. Super Mario - ok but not terribly exciting.
7. Moglia - WTF!?!?

Trolling...how so? I want RU to make a splash...you don't agree with my preferences.

Al Golden is that bad? Temple was as bad as RU when Golden turned them around and two top ten recruiting classes at the U..sanctions...no on campus facility and a fair weather fan culture stuck in a time capsule, not an easy job...

Less pressure here, win 7-8 a year with a run at the Roses or a nice New Year's Day bowl once every 5 years...Iowa, northwestern, ped state, even Illinois do this...I don't think this is out of Golden's range...

Also, I probably shouldn't have said no to 2 through 7 completely, but Nueheisel failed at multiple spots and teams got worse as he progressed there. He didn't leave any program he was at better. Golden doesn't do anything for me, and while Miami may have been a bad fit, it's not like he was gangbusters at Temple. I'd like to see more from Fleck. He had a chance to win his division in the MAC this year and that would have gone a long way for me. Moglia is interesting, but the age is a big concern. Schiano is okay, Cristobal is okay, but they don't enthuse me. If someone told me Ash or someone like that didn't enthuse them, I'd get that.

Isn't Monken 13-23 as a head coach? What makes you like him, besides he crazy hair?
Southern Miss was 0-12 the year before he got there. In year 3 he has them in the CUSA Championship Game.
4 years of NFL coaching experience
Put a big offense together at Oklahoma State.
Also had several years of being an assistant at LSU before he went to NFL.

Gotcha. I misread his stats and transposed 9-3 to 3-9 for 2015. Oops.

I love Neuheisel on Sirius. He is by far my favorite guy on that channel. I have to admit I thought about him for RU.

However my sister, a big UCLA booster, claims he is a disaster as a head coach. She said do not go near him.

Neuheisel intrigued me around 2005 when I wasn't sure if Schiano would get RU to a bowl, but his tenure at UCLA was a real disaster.

OK there needs to be two lists, one of guys we would love to have and need to at the minimum make the call but will be a longshot and one that is a realistic list that we could definitely get if we pushed.

Group 1 (unrealistic but love to have)

1.Dan Mullen
2. Mike Leach
3. Greg Schiano
4. Tom Hermann
5. Rick Neuheisel (my wildcard)

Group 2 (Realistic list)

1.Chris Ash
2. Mario Cristobal
3. Todd Grantham
4. Robb Smith
5. Joe Moglia (my wildcard)

Notice how Golden is not on either list.

Mullen is my #1 choice, but lets keep it real, the odds of that happening are slim and none.

Ash told his players that he is not leaving so...

I don't know what will happen.

I prefer Warinner over Ash. We need an offensive minded coach and he'll probably be open to switching QBs if the better in practice QB stinks it up in games... In addition, Ash's time on defense at Arkansas makes me nervous.

Didn't think he was available, but Will Muschamp is out there.

He knows defense, no doubt about it. Would need a good OC to compliment, but he ran a very clean program. Recruits SEC talent, and would not have trouble grabbing top NJ recruits.

South Carolina is seriously looking at him, but if that doesn't happen - would love to make him our big get.

I'd prefer Ash.....our signature is D/ST's and it was slipping...I still prefer east coast cold weather pro style O and fumble forcing, sacks blocked kicks helps the O and keeps us in every game..
