2. Bill Bell did not go to Costa Rica to hide from the FBI or NCAA investigators. He was on vacation with his son and daughter-in-law, a vacation that had been planned for over 6 months.
3. Bill Bell does not drink light beer.
4. Bill Bell snapped the two field goals in MSU’s 6-3 victory over Alabama in 1980.
5. Bill Bell was not involved in the recruitment (or lack thereof) of his own son to MSU - an eventual All-ACC placekicker at Georgia Tech. He also, surprisingly, did not recruit, pay, or try to persuade Cam Newton to attend MSU.
