didnt fit with Mullen''s offenseand that Dak would take over "sooner than later". Pretty sure if Mullen thought that, Dak was better, he wouldnt have changed the offense and would have given the keys to Dak. Or Mullen is smarter than all of us on here and made modifications to adapt his offense to the strengths of his quarterback.

Malcolm Johnson and Morrow give us some size to hit some big plays and finally get some mismatches. Bought time for Damien Robinson to be a four star and Siddoway has to be at least above average. </p>

Then we're in a hell of a lot of trouble up front. They guy has had exactly 1 season without some major injury. He's a beast when healthy, but that's a VERY small percentage of the time. We better hope our JUCO C can play, because we're probably going to need Dillon Day at G sometime this season. Also, what about Erik Lawson and that group? Shouldn't they be ready to step up at G and be quality depth/starters yet? They should be redshirt sophomores along with Damien Robinson (another guy who might need to move inside to G).

Like others, the only thing I disagree about is Quay. I watched him exclusively on Saturday. He's impressive at times, and others he just kind of hovers. He plays with his head down which isn't right. But, he's not going to get pushed back. If Gabe Jackson is getting put on skates by Quay, then you can count on every OL in the league getting pushed back by him. I just think Virges and PJ are gonna be really good too. I thought Virges really came on hard towards the end of the year last year. He's not as explosive as PJ, but he's a bull in there.

I'm totally with you on Tobias. He was our best OL last year, and was absolutely pounding people before he got hurt. I'm not counting on it, but if he could just get lucky for one year and stay healthy, then we could be pretty good on the OL. The guy that really impressed me Saturday was Siddoway. He is very big and very athletic. He can punch and move forwards and backwards in pass pro. He was a pleasant surprise. He'll have to get his blitz pick-ups down, bc I'm sure they're gonna throw all sorts of **** at him, but he's got a shot to be an above average tackle.

the talent we have.

Quay will be a difference maker to be sure, but starting or not he'll be on the field a great deal because it's going to be damn hard to defense the amount of talent we have at that position when they have fresh legs.

Derrick Taite wasnt great. My apologies if my sarcasm meter is out of whack.

Jameon has some maturing to do before he can beat out Bumphis. He has a great up side with his versatility. But Bumphis is still a go to guy.

Robinson will certainly pickup where Ballard left off but the offenses will be so different that I believe Robinson will not be asked to carry the load Ballard had to.

We might, but I'm just not completely confident we win all of those games. We typically lose at least one a year we should have won. Late in the season we will make up for it though and win one to get us to 7-8 wins. I just dont think we have the OL to do better.

Could be, but they dont have to be for us to have a special year. We just have to make some big plays and prevent the big plays. we will live and die by the offense this year.

DL could very well be that good.

Tobias: amen....and really more than him, the talent on the second string OL.

We break the top half in offense and we'll beat my win prediction of 8

We beat them, but they play well enough to remind us that the beatdown time is over.

Hahaha. That's one way to put it. I believe what you actually said was something along the lines of, 'we would have to change the offense for Russell to be the QB, and Mullen has proven he won't do that; therefore, Russell is not the future at QB.'<div>
