10 years from now - would you put Lemonis on the ring of honor?

The main thing I regret about allowing Lem to founder for so long is the amount of hard feelings that built up between him and the fans and the lasting effect that rift has on his legacy that in turn diminishes the legacy of the championship. We must heal that rift if for no other reason than that.
Yes, it would have been better if another program had come along and taken him and we were only bitching and moaning about that instead of the fact that he's a horrible Head Coach.

Wow. You might be delusional.
It’s been reported by Hadad and Faulk that kids were turning down huge offers from us to go elsewhere for less. I guess they are delusional as well. Or maybe you should post less and do a bit more research before running your mouth.

I'm not familiar with Hadad and Faulk. Can you link to their reporting?

He doesn't deserve it, IMO. Us floundering around and keeping him around for longer than he should have proved that most of the reason we won early in his career here was due to the previous coaching staff rosters that they left him. He just isn't a very good baseball coach and he won't be hired as a head coach by anyone else that takes baseball seriously for the rest of his career. He deserves to be thanked for the amazing 2021 Championship, but the players on that team that he largely inherited had a lot more to do with it than he did. He is the Larry Coker of college baseball. I agree with a previous poster who said we need to honor that team as a whole and acknowledge him within that honor as the head coach of the team. Not him individually.
No. For all the reasons mentioned here.

It's a NO from me, and not just in 10 years. I don't want him in there at all.

Bring him back when the '21 team is honored at whatever point that is but he doesn't deserve a Ring of Honor spot.

He had 2 real good seasons, and a mediocre one (last year).
There's a Covid season which I don't even count w/ only 16 games

And then there's 3 shi-tastic ones that ruin it all for me.

That's not Ring Of Honor Numbers when you have just as many sh1tty seasons as you did good ones
Thank you.

Not sure what you were trying to link, but it takes me to 500 podcast episodes. Can you narrow it down to a specific episode?
I'm not going to go back and listen to 500 episodes, but Brian is a big poster on here and would correct me if I was misquoting him. Sorry for not knowing 2 summers ago that I would need an episode of T&L bookmarked to win a message board dispute. What I will do for you is post the question on the pay board of this site and screenshot Robbie's answer.

Wait, these are message board posters? I assumed they were journalists since you said they reported.

If you don’t know who Robbie Faulk and Brian Hadad are and the fact that they cover Mississippi State sports for a living and have intimate knowledge of our sports programs and a great relationship with Charlie Winfield who runs our collective then you should really stop having such large opinions on the subject. Respectfully. Hadad is a radio host for the biggest statewide sports show in Mississippi. Faulk has worked for the Starkville daily and runs the On3 premium site and a member of the press.

That is not what those screenshots indicate. Maybe it’s what you want to read between the lines. He talks about us losing recruiting battles, specifically a Hawaiian that wanted to stay close(er) to home (West Coast).

He also gives his opinion that lack of NIL money was not the problem. That isn’t reporting that players were turning us down to play elsewhere for less money.

The good news is if some people are right and we have plenty of NIL money that players turned down, I assume we banked that money and our new coach can use it to recruit the top players nationally, including Hawaii.

No. Not 10 Years From Now.

I’d do it sooner.

2031 - 10 year anniversary

Honor the Whole Team by putting the Team on the Wall of Honor and Lemonis separately as an individual
👆👆
But I certainly hope and expect another 2 CWS appearances between ‘26 and ‘31 and another championship during that time sure would be nice!

You can put him in the HOF but not in the ROH like some of us are. I talked to Polk and some others about it earlier this year that any baseball player in the MSU HOF should automatically get a plaque in the ROH or at least at Dudy Noble. No reason for another ceremony and taking up a spot that someone else can be recognized.
He told me it's a separate committee and he has no say in it. I told him that sucks. It was not official but I was told they are looking to expand on honored players of the past so a player in the HOF has already been honored. I am aware that there are some with both honors so maybe it's not true, but I'm not holding my breath.
