LSU fans must be feeling like us right now.

Anybody who's won a national championship in the modern era(for the sake of this post let's say since 1985) doesn't feel like us! LSU has three, I feel no sorrow for any fan base who has seen their school win national titles. LSU is like every other "have" school in college football they'll shell out the $ make changes and be going after another title within a few years at most. Schools like us, Kansas State, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Iowa, West Virginia, Missouri, Baylor, etc. Will only ever get good enough to occasionally be a serious contender once maybe twice every generation, but will suffer an excruciating loss during said season and disappear from view for the next 15 or so years(with some bad seasons in there) until we can put another team together to make another run at it and repeat the cycle, these schools never actually get to the top of the mountain.
