That was all the evidence I think anyone needed to know the Heisman is a joke. What was that trailer trash's name? Jason White?

I guess I was just goign off of seeing him in contention for it twice. That was still enough to tell me the heisman trophy was then and still is now a wash.

Charlie Ward, Danny Wuerffel (discounting his epic WFL career), Eric Crouch, Jason White, Matt Lineart, Troy Smith, et al.
(although Palmer and Bush seem to be recent exceptions)

Hey, look: a blog writer agrees with me!
Anyone who even marginally follows football knows that winning the Heisman is the equivalent of not being a very good professional football player.

is a disappointment. Three best qbs over last several years. All played in National Championship games. It would have been fitting for him to get it considering his stats too.
At the very least give it to Gerhart. Outstanding season and an outstanding athlete.
I think a lot of voters prob had attitude that I did going in, vote for SEC running back. But his stats just don't compare. Plus just watching all the highlights of other past winners, Ingram just isn't that dynamic of a runner. Gerhart looked much more impressive plowing over people and plus his stats were good.

Apparently you still haven't figured out that the NFL didn't quit playing football 12 years ago.

What gets me is all we've heard all year from all the networks is that Alabama has never had a Heisman winner, like they're begging for it. So I guess we could see it coming.

Eric Crouch was a great college player and was deserving of the Heisman. It is not an award for most pro potential.
