12-3 MSU up on Arky. Top 7.

maybe just maybe this will build some confidence and get us going in the SEC. 3-6 against SC, Ga and Ar who were (are) ranked is what I expected before the season.

If we can win vs Valley and ULM this week and take 2 of 3 vs Auburn in Starkville, this team's confidence will be much higher. IF that was to happen, we'd be sitting at 19-13 (5-7 SEC). We would basically have our win total from 2008.

for today. Would have been wasted to start him Friday night. Hopefully we can find a 3rd starter. Maybe Moore will step up and be the guy. If Bowen would have been the Friday starter we would have been decent in starting pitching. To me he is the biggest disappointment on the team by far!

Hopefully this will give us some confidence heading into next weekend. I was coming down anyway next weekend but now I'll have a little more positive outlook of what we may be able to do.

Congratulations, Bulldawgs. I didn't think you had it in you.

we've gotten two of the SEC's top three teams in my opinion out of the way. And really, other than the Fri. night game against Arkansas where we started Devin Jones, we were able to hold our own with Arkansas and Georgia on the road no less.

I still don't care for that move. Hindsight is 20/20, though, and if I was going to do that, I would have pitched Crosswhite instead of Devin Jones.

I have no idea why he started Devon Jones except to think he thought he was our worse pitcher and saving everyone for the next two. Actually I like starting Routt for Sunday regardless. Whitney has been decent, man just think if Bowen would have been our ace?

We were counting on him being our friday night guy, or a weekend starter with experience at least, and he's fallen out of that role. I think that he will still end up being in that spot as the year progresses. If, and I mean if, this team is to make an SEC tourney/NCAA tourney run, he will have to regain last year's form.

I don't know if that would help him or not, but at this point, I don't think it would hurt either.

Tuesday would be a great time to try it.

he has the stuff to pitch on Friday night. As bad as our pitching is, having somebody with his talent not be able to eat up SEC innings is a killer.

He's basically the only hope we've got if we can make a run at just making the SEC tourney. We can't expect Whitney and Routt to go 7+ every time out and I've already seen enough of the Swindle-Bussey-Busby show in the midweek. He's a quality pitcher and will find his groove eventually.

...starting? and getting shelled in the 02" regional agin NC? Same with Jamie Gant. Misused and badly coached. Bowen needs a gut check. rout throws mid to low 80's with the fast ball. thompson is all about location. did ya'll here today when BT went to the mound and intentionally waited for Blue to come to the mound and obviously said to rout " he has shrunk the plate" or something to that affect. Jim said that there were words said tween BT and the Ump. I know what BT prolly said...." Im talking to my pitcher, FU". rout struck the batter out. I love the new attitude. Hoage is 17 for 17 with the swipes and we are putting down two out bunts. Give JC a year and we will be terrifying the SEC.
