9.6 penalties per game, coming in just a shade ahead of GaState who has 9.8.

In Year 5, this falls squarely on coaching. Why can't we have any discipline? If everything else stays the same and you take out penalties, we beat LSU easily.

Syracuse coach was so aggravated at his team's sloppy performance in a win over UConn that he made them stay on the field and run sprints after the game.

For just some additional context

That is 135 out of 136.

9.6 penalties per game is up from 6.6 penalties per game in 2024

Average 6.5 at Home and 11.7 on the road and but have been getting worse by averaging 10.7 in the last 3 games.

It's brutal and gets worse the more you dig into it.

I'd be curious to know how many of ours are pre-snap penalties. They absolutely KILLED us against LSU.

Shane said early in the season all the penalties are on him. Game 6 and they're still out of control

Too much time building team culture (and perhaps slapping themselves on the back for last year's performance and licking the wounds of being left out of the playoffs) and not enough time coaching.

Penalties are a direct comment on the coaching from discipline to technique.

not quite. 0.3 penalties/game away from leading, but I think we can get there with a little more work.
This offense is as incompetent as Whammy's defense. I can't escape the feeling that Teasley was the sacrificial lamb. I guess we will see if things get any better.

If Beamer stops with Teasley, he may find himself the sacrificial lamb before long.

Sounds like we're second in penalties.
