I was on the fence and trying to do my part. Did a lot of cooking too. Wish I could make the lsu series. It was a bad feeling when we loaded up the grill for the year. I guess our fanbase has pretty much given up on this team. I don't get it.
1-2 every weekend is better than last year, but for us to start out so well after the first two weekends in SEC play this season, it really takes the wind out of everyone when we lose weekend series like this one and the Arkansas series. Both cases we should have finished no worse than 2-1 on the weekend. And for us to be swept by UGA is just as hard to digest as this weekend and the Arkansas series.
croom made the cupboard bare, and cohen inherited bare.....both are in year 3 and making dumbass coaching mistakes.....getting their asses kicked.....
cohen has shown improvement, but not enough, because his own bonehead decisions have cost us 5-6 wins.....notice the crowd yday booing him while taking out a pitcher who was on cruise control? stealing third with a man in scoring position with no outs?.....WTF?....baseball 101.....
I remember reading this board within days when Polk announced he was quitting....I was on the Cohen bandwagon from the moment Polk said "I quit".....
someone even started a thread "Dear John Cohen, Mama's calling, time to come home".......one of the oldest threads on this board that I can recall in my mind that I enjoyed....
and now, as an enormous Cohen supporter from day 1, I am now skeptical.....same as I was croom year 3.....Im kinda at the point of, I'll watch and support with M2M, but I'm not wasting my money watching that trainwreck by driving up there and shoving hotdogs and cokes down my mouth only to watch that piss poor coaching and *** kicking.....

As you can get without me typing it. I really do feel like I am watching Croom. The difference is that I was never a Croom guy. I have been a Cohen fan and supporter since Polk announced he was leaving. I want him to succeed but he is just beating himself now and I have lost all faith in him. I hope like crazy that I am wrong and we are not looking for a new coach at the end of next season.
but he's starting to make me think of Rocky Felker. Great player, great at coaching part of the game but as the head coach at his alma mater he's looking lost. I hope the talent coming in can handle his style and he learns from his mistakes. Meanwhile I may make one more trip to 'vegas this season and I may not.
