He didnt take it because of his parent s being very ill. He appreciated the offer and wanted to take it, but couldnt for family illnes reasons. I personally didnt want him as my first choice but he is a quality guy and his reason for not being able to take our offer are legit. And to say 17 Bryce Drew because he chose family over more money and a higher profile job makes you look like an ***

he didnt contact us and generate fake interest only to get leverage for a raise. we contacted him, offered and he couldnt take it. valpo giving him a raise is pretty standard for when a coach turns another job, happens everywhere. we've done it with dan and stans recently

No inside info here. But that was the first thing that crossed my mind when his name popped up. How difficult it would be for him to leave Valpo with both of his parents battling cancer and him taking the reins from his dad so quickly because of it.

I actually agree with you. He wasnt my 1rst choice by any stretch, but it aint lookin good for the home team. Who's the best crooter in the swac??**

My disappointment spills over into anger. I fully expect a lackluster assistant at best at this point tho. I think we can make a 'good' hire still, but nowhere near the caliber I expected or hoped for.
