Presumably you're talking about Justin Cox. Just got a notice on TeamStream. He was arrested for domestic violence and burglary. Won't be playing tomorrow night for sure.

I still think we should require these guys to live in an athletic dorm.

Where is the Tallahassee Police Department when you need them.

We will get some bad press for this, but at least we suspended him as opposed to Florida State's play-em till incarcerated policy.

Tomorrow? Guy is done for good. No way a guy accused of domestic violence plays in this day of age.

I agree. But I don't think he'll see a judge until after Christmas. No way we hear anything until after the season's done.

Boneheaded on his part. Even if he's innocent. Hang around riffraff you're eventually going to get in trouble.

We'll know whether he's innocent or guilty a lot sooner than he sees a judge. It'll just take a day or two of checking into the situation. I expect we'll either kick him off the team or reinstate him early next week.

ETA: My guess is we'll kick him off the team. And I agree, boneheaded on his part, even if he is somehow innocent. He should be suspended for being out at 3AM two nights before a game anyway.

We'll agree to disagree. If it were just burglary, maybe. Because of the climate surrounding athletes and domestic violence, he's going to be murdered by the media. No way Mullen takes a chance on reinstating him and getting raked over the coals, especially for a guy who's had limited success on the field.

What's up with MSU players and robbing people?

Between Aspen Heights and The Pointe which is next door, there's been 3 burglaries/ARMED robberies in the past 4 weeks.

doesn't mean he robbed anyone. Burglary of a dwelling is the breaking and entering with the intent to commit a crime. So if he broke in to beat the **** out of his girlfriend, then that would constitute the Burglary of dwelling charge.

Either way, he's being charged with 2 felonies so I doubt you see him back this season, unless his girlfriend chooses not to cooperate then they will drop it down to misdemeanor or remand both charges.

We don't really disagree that much. I'd be pretty surprised to see him ever take another snap for us.

Tongue in cheek. Of course I know he won't play tomorrow.

The only guy who plays in this day and age when he's accused of domestic violence (or rape) is named Jameison Wilson.

Good to know. Is that what those 2 players arrested last year were charged with? It just seems like a lot of seniors every year get collared for breaking in somewhere.
