It didn't work, but we were not going to win with Relf as QB. We had to pass, but guess what, we played against the best defense in my life time. I'm older than most people on this board. LSU's defense is very good, seriously dude, that is no where near the best defense we've seen even in the last several years. Bama's defense two years ago--and possibly this year--is better. Our '98/'99 defense was as good or better than what LSU trotted out there last night.

Poor, vanilla offensive game planning and WRs that couldn't get themselves open, combined with Ralph playing like a 2-star Crxxm recruit for much of the night is what made this LSU defense seem like the Bears '95 or Giants '91 defense. They were good, don't get me wrong, but our ineptitude contributed quite a bit to making them look that much better.
