I thought you were different. Thought you may actually care about Miss state. I don't wish you well. I don't want you to be injured but here's to hoping you end up in Italy with ja money

Taking things a little to seriously. It sucks that he left, and while I don't think it was necessarily smart, there are plenty of valid reasons for him to leave.

This season was tough with the late season collapse, the ridiculous amount of fighting between the fans and the team, and a year around Renardo Sidney. Then after all that, we get rid of the coach that recruited him and all of his assistants, which I was completely for. However, I didn't realize we would have to work so far down our list of potential candidates that an assistant from Clemson would be our next head coach.

I didn't like it when MSU signed him.<div>
</div><div>To me, that was one big *** red flag when nobody else would touch him with a ten foot pole.</div><div>

Rodney is still a good kid with great parents. I'm as disappointed as anyone here. I've even said he quit on us. He isn't the Bulldog I thought he was. But I don't wish him failure. I hope he makes millions in the NBA but I will never forgive him for giving up on being a Bulldog. Still cant believe he did!

I agree. This is such a selfish and immature move. Not only did he quit on the fans, but he also quit on his teammates, state, and university. I never wish ultimate failure upon people, and I hope he does make millions, however, I do wish that people would be taught lessons. Therefore, I hope Rodney fails at his next school and hates it, but learn from his mistakes and goes on to make millions. Good kid? I never knew good kids that quit on everyone around them.

We are going to feeling the effects of Renardo Sidney for many years to come. I can't think of another player that has had such a significant role in bringing a program down without it being related to NCAA sanctions (Albert Means, SMU players..).

Like Ray said, the decision was made before he was hired. He almost didn't even come to MSU, even after he had signed the scholarship. The Hoods haven't been happy campers for a long time.
