I had had a few by then, but I thought David got shook at the line and then Harper was covering and couldn't get there...
If we were in a zone, then Harper should have been a lot deeper than he was.
Too bad Porter got hurt, I think he has potential.

Yes, the secondary sucked again last night, but I have trouble blaming any coaches or the front office for that. 3 cornerbacks are on the IR, including the two starters. Quite a few DL are IR now. We can't get any pressure, and when you're forced to start a ****** secondary there's really not much they can do. I don't know that there's any defensive coach that could be successful with the current personnel. This offseason needs to focus entirely on defense, and I have to believe its impossible to have this kind of bad luck with injuries two seasons in a row.
There are quite a few fans wanting to fire Payton,,, maybe I'm just too used to watching MSU's offense but it seems like an insane idea to fire any coach who has you #1 in offense. The defense is fixable, just not this year.
