Is on SEC Network at 7. A few more chances after that to DVR it for a day or so. I suggest skipping to the 14 minute mark of the 2nd half if you DVR it.
1994 LSU comeback game

I"ll never forget, I was staying in a hotel room in London KY when that game happened. I turned off the TV and went to sleep at half time because I was so frustrated...you know the rest of the story....I was so mad at myself when I found out the score the next day.
I haven't re-watched in all of these years. This is a treat, especially after our last two games.
My dad, brother, and I went to my grandma's house to watch it because she had cable. My dad was so pissed at half he wanted to leave. I wanted to stay. We left and I told him we still had a chance it was only halftime. Man was I pissed reading about it the next day in the paper.Originally posted by KWilt43atbuzz:

A funny thing is that it's the only time I have ever had a neighbor thank me for making too much noise. I was coming in from work the next day the same time as the neighbor downstairs and they had gone to bed and heard us so they got back up and started watching.

Rick looks soooooo young. This game, the 90 game when we beat Shaq and the 86 point 1st half game, was more than pay back for Dale Brown running his mouth about taking our place as top dog in the SEC in the early 80's. Dale was so easy to hate back then.
I never do either but I sure came close that night - but I didn't. As excited as I've ever been for a regular season game. It kinda went like, well we're at least going to get it under 20 - wait we're within 10 to holy shi** we can win this. My wife and I had only been together for a couple years and this was the first night she saw what a diehard cat fan could turn into!!!

Forgot about Walt and the wrist band on his bicep. My brother and I use to laugh about the "smallest arms in the universe brother" 2" python. Watcha gonna do when Walter's arms run wild on you.
This. I was in 3rd grade at the time, and my parents made me go to bed before halftime because it was so late on a school night.
I actually anchored the "sports news" segment on our grade school daily morning news, and had to read off the score and news report to the school after not actually getting to watch the game. Which just poured salt on the wound,
(Now that I think about it, my grade school was kinda awesome -- school news channel with a sports segment in elementary school??)
I was there and right under one of the baskets as I recall. Drank a lot of beer though so might have to watch that again sometime! Ha ha!!
I have to confess that I was so disgusted, I turned it off and went to bed. Had to get up at 5 AM the next morning. Apparently, the huge comeback started right after I turned it off! I too was surprised to hear the outcome the next day
I have this on VHS as well as the documentary by Ralph Hacker. I didn't give up although my remote control was reduced to a circuit board with a battery hanging off it...Good times!!
I will always miss Dale Brown being in the SEC, as weird as that sounds. Leaving the 2003 SEC tournament in New Orleans, Dale was a guest on a local sports radio show. I guess he realized there would be alot of Kentucky fans tuning in that Sunday while leaving, because he gave the most unabashed praise I have ever heard from him. Said there could never be another Kentucky, they would always be the pinnacle of excellence and that their fans truly embrace the sport he loves so much.
He went on a rant about how the other SEC schools should be ashamed, because such a great sport goes unappreciated by everyone else. And that is what makes UK so great, is not the wins or the championships, but how much their fans care. Pointed to the probation times as an example; he said UK fans were just as excited, if not louder at Rupp, than when UK was dominant.
Also:
- He got in a scrum with Rick Pitino at mid-court in the early 90s (looking back on it, its much easier to take Dale's side)
- Dale Brown was the "Y" at a home game, in 2001. Obviously, that's extremely rare for a former opposing coach.
- The true characters of the SEC were guys like Don Devoe, Wimp Sanderson, Dale Brown.
So fun to root against, kind of like Bruce Pearl is now. Is Anthony Grant fun to root against? It's all so boring now.

I never gave up on the game even though I wanted to. I was 14-15 at the time and remember I planned to record it because I thought I wouldn't watch the whole game anyway. For whatever reason, when UK got down big, I kept watching. Still have that VHS somewhere.
Was a sophomore in high school and on a basketball bus in Somerset. We had an assistant coach with a radio and the whole team started listening to it in Burger King. The same coach had driven to the game and all along Highway 27 he would stop beside the bus and yell out the score. It got more brutal at every red light.

i was a kid in middle school at the time and only had just started to get into UK . My dad and I watched the first half and turned it off with like 2 minutes to go in it . I go into my room and started playing Super NES and then all of a sudden about 30 minutes later my Dad calls me back into the living room and i see we are only down 4-5 or something like that. We watched the rest and both of our mouths were dropped to the floor. All my friends at school knew i was a huge UK fan so everyone was coming up to me the next say talking about it..
I was 17 and had a bad temper. That was a bad night for the most part! Also the night I realized I was bi-polar in regards to UK sports.
